  1. Your computer needs to have a video card that supports Video Out (Usually S-Video). Then you need to have your TV have an S-Video In. Then just buy an S-Video cable and run it between the two. If your video card has the correct output, check your manual on how to activate the output.
  2. This is always something I've disagreed with. Just because we are fans of the team doesn't mean we have to blindly follow everything they do and aren't allowed to critisize them. We love the team just as much as anybody and wish to see them succeed as much as the team does. I haven't heard anybody say "if this team doesn't start winning I'm going to stop going to the games."
  3. This just made my day! Is this going to be a single camera feed, or multi-cameras like at St. Cloud and all other games? For some reason I get the feeling we'll only get one camera at MTU.
  4. In case I was the only one who noticed, during a quick montage at the beginning of sports center there was about a 1 second clip of Schneider beating the hell outta MacMurchy. I know, I know, just 1 second, but I guess when there's no NHL the hockey fans in Connecticut must be watching something.
  5. The biggest issue I find with trying to emphasize research so much, is that the professors start focusing on their research more than they do on their students' education. This is a severe downfall in the system and causes many problems.
  6. This is the biggest one right here. If the team plays up to potential for the full 60 minutes, we'll definatly have the win.
  7. I think he's talking about "SI On Campus," not just Sports Illustrated. It's an entirely different magazine.
  8. It's this type of attitude that is the reason the NHL keeps fighting allowed. "It is part of hockey" is a HORRIBLE argument. Hockey is passing, shooting, scoring, setting up plays and winning games. Fighting is NOT part of hockey. It was made part of hockey because players started to not be able to control themselves. A true hockey fan will remain a hockey fan if fighting is eliminated, and I know hockey will gain fans if they get rid of fighting. I have talked to many people who say the reason they don't watch hockey is because of the lack of self control of the players. And actually, it didn't fire up the players. In an interview, Greene said he was supported McMahon's fight, but it didn't fire up the players like he had hoped it would.
  9. The Ralph, by putting the band in the upper corner of the ralph, ruined the Seive chant. Sit by the band sometime, they'll try to match up with the students, and they match the students arms perfectly. Unfortunatly, by the time the sounds of the drums get down to the students, its off. Wanna fix the seive chant? Lets the drums go on their own. If everybody in the arena will follow the drums, then everybody will be together.
  10. Somebody HAS to make this one.
  11. That was by far the best game ever played at the Alerus Center.
  12. Not this year, but last year they could have.
  13. As I pointed out in another, our defense also has a shutout going for over 9 straight quarters. 139:24 to be exact. Think we can extend it this weekend?
  14. For those of you who have not yet realized it. Our defense has not allowed any points AT HOME for more than 9 quarters. 139:24 to be exact. Think we can keep the streak going against UMD?
  15. This is true, but he still has to work on his deep throwing. He overthrew at least 3 balls that would have been touchdowns. And not just a few feet over. They were a good 5 yards long. Not raggin' on him, just pointing it out.
  16. For those of you who didn't hear, they said a bit ago that Maine hasn't been swept at home by a non-conference opponent in 19 years. In 1985, by Denver, was the last one.
  17. Anybody know what's up with gametimes being 7:07 and 7:37? What's the 2 minutes for?
  18. You sure talk up your team quite a bit considering their not even in the top 25 poll.
  19. There were two WCHA teams in the Frozen Four, and two Hockey East teams, if I remember right. It was UMD vs. Denver in one semi-final game, and Maine vs. Boston College in the other. But you are correct, it would have been possible to seperate all the WCHA teams to have 4 of them end up in the Frozen Four. We had North Dakota, Minnesota, Minnesota-Duluth, Denver and Wisconsin all in the 16-team field.
  20. Alright, I gotta ask, did you make up "IALMAO??"
  21. This is just one of the reasons we need that place roaring on Saturday: We need to make sure nobody can hear...well....anything.
  22. Get everybody you know to go to the games. Especially Friday. This is the first WCHA for our women's team and they're trying to get this game to break the attendance record for women's hockey (I think it's 6,000-some). I know our students will show up, we just need to let everybody know how much fun the game will be.
  23. That won't happen. I don't think the Sioux are allowed to score a powerplay goal until well into the season.
  24. Am I completely confused, or does the title on the poll say "Northwest?" Wouldn't that mean all the teams on the poll are in the same region?
  25. Are you still stuck on this?
