  1. My 9 year old daughter walked by when I was watching that video. She wondered what Phillipe was doing with that on his neck!
  2. I'm not impressed with Altru's ER. My son was a patient there a couple months ago, and after partially treating his injury, they forgot about him. He finally disconnected himself from the blood pressure machine and went out to the desk, where the nurse was on the phone. He asked if they were done with him, and without breaking stride, or conversation, she waved him off, and nodded her head. It's a good thing I know how to change a dressing, because they gave him no instructions on how to do it. Good news is...the end of his finger is still attached.
  3. "Build it and they will come". I think Altru does need the competition, and yes I would go there. I have already followed my Dr., that used to be at Altru, to the Aurora.
  4. Yes he is. Bart is an awesome dog that you never hear a peep out of. He is one of the best I have ever seen. He is always on the look-out for a playmate though. Anyone that will throw a stick, ball or frisbee. At the lake in the summer he has his supply of sticks by the dock and will fetch for the first person to throw one into the water. Bart also sits in the pickup with my brother. He only is in the travel kennel when they are going hunting with a group. Labs and Pugs are the best dogs!
  5. Their parents must be so proud.
  6. What do they have to pay for out of their pockets?
  7. I've heard it called "althru"
  8. My brother has one for his dog, too. He only has to wear it when he is in the travel kennel, in the back of a moving truck. Otherwise, he doesn't bark.
  9. Mick Jagger once said "Ti-i-i-ime is on my side, yes it is". OK. We will give him time.
  10. I grew up in Devils Lake, and making the short drive out to Sully's Hill was always a highlight of the summer. My parents would always take us out there a few times a summer. We also went there on many field trips for school. It is a beautiful place, and a trip I would urge you all to go on. You can see deer, elk, buffalo, many birds and the infamous prairie dog town. If you see nothing else, you will see the prairie dogs. I have a couple of friends that got married there...inside the preserve. We were bussed in from outside the gates. The ceremony took place on the senic overlook, and we all would look over our shoulder every time we would hear the rustling of leaves. Never knew if the herd of buffalo was going to show up, and glad we didn't have to find out. Not sure how we all would have fit into the few vans they had there for transporting us! It's been a few years since I have been there, but this summer I will take my kids there. Thanks for the reminder about the place, Fetch. Lake Alice is near where I used to live (between Penn and Minnewaukan), along with Mauvais Coulee being in my back yard. And when I say back yard...I mean it. The lake rose and Mauvais is now part of our yard there.
  11. Not a bird watcher, but I know a couple. Looking at those pictures, you'd never guess that they are that small. For those of you that didnt look past the first page, there are a few more pages to go through, scroll to the bottom of each page for the next page option. The last picture is a cool comparison.
  12. Thank you. I like that logo too.
  13. My point exactly. EDIT: They MAY have multiple run-ins with the law proir to this, but since they aren't high profile athletes, who really cares.
  14. Dumb question here. Who were the Hartford Whalers?
  15. What ever happened to the other 3 or 4 people that were busted at the same time? Haven't heard a word about their punishment. There names were barely a blurb in the newspaper.
  16. Rememer, we tried for the CC series over Thanksgiving weekend and it didnt work. Maybe we can try again this season for a suite party.
  17. After I thought about purchasing a gun, after Dru was kidnapped, and didn't buy one, I really never thought about anything else for protection. I mentioned in another thread, that people have the mindset of "this will never happen to me". I said it about minors, but really, I think all people have the same thoughts. I don't think everyday that something terrible is going to happen to me or any of my family members. I go on about my business and wonder what I'm going to make for supper, before I have to get kids to basketball practice, piano lessons, work on homework, etc. Until something tragic happens, you just don't think about it.
  18. Reminds me of the Holy Cross announcers when they beat Minnesota. Oh oh...here I go smiling uncontrollbly again.
  19. I did see on ESPN that he (the goalie) got suspended for 5 games, the coach got a $25,000 fine and the team was fined $100,000.
  20. Somebody should tell Sioux-cia's 'advisor' about this. I'm not sure a 24 hour notice for Prp would be sufficient here.
  21. Really shouldn't have to do that. They have people go through the bleachers after every game and clean up the mess left behind of empty cups, beverage containers, nachos, popcorn, etc. They should be able to see that the mud on the seats needs to be cleaned up. Now, I do remember an article in the newspaper a few months ago (maybe a year, don't remember) about a person who found a checkbook/wallet under a seat at the Ralph. It was lost there quite a while before that, so why did it go undetected for such a long time if the place is actually being cleaned? As an employer, I am well aware of the "nobody told me to do that" syndrome. That's why, if I want the lobby to be swept under the benches, it has to be on the checklist of things to do. That's pretty sad. The mud on the seats is probably a case of, "I'm supposed to clean up the empty containers and garbage under the seats, not clean up the mud on the seats".
  22. I do know how to use a gun. I have used one many times. I just dont own one. Yes, protecting my family would be a reason to use it.
  23. Must have made extra $ for playing the last few weeks with a broken foot.
  24. Is there a photo out there of this creature?
