Yesterday 2 of my kids and I were at the Columbia Mall. The 7 y/o son spots a ND hat at "Lids" and bugged me the entire time we were there to buy it. It was a 2 for $20 deal, so he got a ND AND a ND hat...Notre Dame and North Dakota.

I watched the Devils and Rangers play last night. Rangers won the series 4-1, and during the post series handshakes, Avery and Brodeur came upon each other in the line and didnt even look at one another. No handshake either. The announcers said that Avery put out his hand, but I didnt see it. It didnt look like it to me.

Looks like they may be winless tonight too. But...I hope for a big comeback.

Or was it the 2001-02 season the 1st year in the new Ralph and the 1st with the new logo.

Don't knock yourself out trying to get there. They have an ugly arena. Maybe it was because it was so empty...and so yellow.

We were with Al's bus and also stayed at the LOW Quality Inn. Dirty room, no ice, it was non-smoking but we had smoke coming through the vents in the bathroom and the main room. My sons room had a broken remote and no clock. He took the phone book off the shelf in the closet and was rained on by dust bunnies! Not going to ever stay there again.

I did see a flyer hanging up in the Thompson gas station this morning.

It was just as cool to be watching it with a house full of family (In Denver) all cheering for the Avs. That OT goal couldn't have been any sweeter.

I wish the very best to the seniors, Rylan, Jean-Philippe, Robbie and Kyle. You gave us everything you had for the last 4 years (+ for Robbie). Thank you. To the guys that may not return, good luck in the NHL. You will do great and I look forward to watching you, along with the other UND alum we have out there playing. To the returning players, I can't wait to see you all in uniform again for another hockey season. Coaches and staff. My hat is off to you. You have done a great job with these young men. You should all be very proud. Thanks to all of the coaching staffs families, you sacrifice a ton of family time for them to do their job. It doesn't go unappreciated. Thanks, too, to the players parents and families. You all have raised exceptional young men and have also sacrificed many things in your life so they could fulfill their dream of playing for one of the best hockey programs in the country. Thanks for the memories. See you next season.

When I talked to Al today he said that it seems the majority of the people have said they want to stay. I told him that our group wants to stay no matter who is in the final game and he seemed to think that we wouldnt be leaving till Sunday. But really, why are we even fretting over something like this. We are going to be playing on Saturday. We have 4 players that comitted to returning this year for a reason, and we have 4 seniors that want to leave this program with a ring on their finger. GO SIOUX! I seem to remember reading that Kyle Radke is the only player (in the country?) to be dressing for four Frozen 4's. The Sioux have some winning to do.

You washed your neighbors car? Want to wash mine next? Plus, I have 3 dogs that might like to play. Make that 1...2 of them are kinda lazy. I still might try to take in some curling before we leave for Denver.
