it would seem that these refs do not like calling hits from behind...they have missed more than one.

i have respect for them, i just have more frustration with our team right now.

that was very cool how they were giving props to the Fighting Sioux family and tradition.

Good news, it is only the end of the 1st....I am not sure why, but this reminds me of the game vs. Wisco in 2008(?) at the Regional in Wisconsin where we played horribly for the first two periods and then came out strong in the third and won in ot. (Knock on wood, so i don't accidently jinx us)

yep, starting i believe yesterday..hits to the head in the NHL are temporarily banned and will result in a suspension. A permanent rule will be looked at this summer.

i believe he would be referring to the "experts" that say all native americans are offended by the nickname and that our mascot is a racist stereotype...blah, blah, blah. It is not the ones who want the sports teams in a conference that bug me, I actually agree with them that we need to find a conference. It is the ones who come in and tell me that I am racist and view the Sioux in a degrading way just because I support the nickname. They are the ones that annoy me and that I feel like telling to bug off and stop telling me how I feel. I am not going to say that I would be happy if the nickname went, but I would be slightly more accepting of it if the process was allowed to play out and the tribes were allowed to vote...both of them.

officially, probably not. But I am sure that if someone was to go to the Union, it might be on a big screen tv on the first floor if one was to ask for it. Sioux Crew might be willing to do something with Night Life (if this is still going on) to view it in the Loading Dock at the Union for students. They have done that in the past for the Frozen Four, but I am not sure about regionals.

No you won't! I have said that multiple times, but it has never worked. I think it is sometimes healthy to question the team and wonder if they might do something different. I think the difference is not being obsessively negative about it when things are not going the way that we the fans would like it to go.

Not sure, they had a list of five guys on the news yesterday after the Twins preseason game was on. Sorry, I can't recall who they were. Guerrier (sp?) was one of them, I know. That is one position that worries me a little with the upcoming season with Nathan out. I don't follow baseball enough to know that much, I just know a couple of the Twins players and Twins baseball.
