That sums it up for me. I have seen these things more from Minnesota fans then any other teams. The Vikings to me are the prime example. But I would also say the Timberpuppies are another good one. The Wild might be the exception to the MN rule. But remember I lived in the Denver area. Where the Broncos have sold out every game since 1970, the longest streak in the NFL.

I lived in Colorado and in Minnesota. I have to say that Minnesota by a long shot has the most fair weathered fans in all of sports. I am not a fan of the Vikings but they had to have the TV stations bail them out how many times last year or there games would have been blacked out. That is pathetic for a town this size and as good of Vikings fans they claim to be. Go Sioux!

Hey everyone I have been offered a job in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and am debating taking this job. I was wondering if there are any Sioux fans out there that either live in cedar Rapids or know if there is a Sioux friendly bar where i could watch my favorite team play. This amazes me. UMtc has more than 4 times the population in the metro then ND does in the entire state and UND draws more in attendence. Way to go UND, proving once again who really has the best fans in the country.

First and for most Thanks for your service to our great country. My point was to say that owners have to abide by laws already. This is a new law they must abide by. Just becasue they own a bar does not mean they get to set their own rules. I see plenty of people outside smoking in february in Minnesota. Most bars have huts set up with heating lamps and make it warm for these people. I just think that it is in everyone's best interest to have this policy in place. I think it it makes for a more enjoyable eating out experience. A non-smoker should not have to breathe the smokers bad habit.

This is for Slamdance and homeofthesioux! Slamdance you keep saying that if a bar owner wants to allow something that is there choice. Should a bar owner be able to say I think a 15 year old is old enough to consume alcohols so I am going to serve everyone over the age of 15? Do they have that choice? No they don't because of Public Safety we have to wait till we are 21 to drink, legally. That is because it is harmful for them to drink at such a young age. My guess is we all drank underage and had some fun in our day, but I for one love being able to go to a bar and not have to smell like smoke the next day. But I do think that there should be accomadations for those who choose to smoke. Just my two cents.

I think you misunderstood what I was saying. If ther are a student or alumni I have no problem. I am saying the Tribal counsels have no say. They should not even be invited to the discussion.

My wife and son took me out for breakfast and then my son(he is almost 3, so I pulled him in a bike trailer) and I went for a bike ride together. We then stoped at a park where in allm y wisdom I tried to get on the toys and play with him and did not see a steel bar right there and ended up cracking my head really hard on the bar. So I have spent the rest of the day with a massive headache. But just to hang with my boy makes it all worth while. He is awesome! I hope all Dad's out there had a great day with your kids!

Last nights game was awesome! They played so hard and to get a goal in the last 35 seconds of regulation then goto a third overtime. This is what the NHL needed, I just hope people are watching. It just re-enforces to me why hockey is the best sport to watch.
