  1. Which Palmiscino? How related to Tony?
  2. Having lived in Wisconsin for something like 30 years, I can tell you Badger fans have a lot of fond memories of the UW/UND rivalry, including the water bottle fight. It was an intense rivalry with more mutual respect than existed between UND and UMinn or even UMinn and UW. Plus, gopher fans don't seem as ready to have fun as much as Badger fans do, which I think takes the nasty edge off the rivalry. From my perspective, at least. Can't be there this weekend, but I hope the Hawks kick some arse.
  3. Dave K is not a hockey fan. Just a very needy guy. Love and hate are both acceptable for him because they both bring attention, and that explains his bit.
  4. More like worst kept secret.
  5. Half of them to Boston
  6. In real game time, I think a lot of what looks like speed is anticipation and positioning. A sense of where the puck is gonna be. That can make an average player look fast. That's why a team that is out of rhythm is always chasing and a step or two late to the puck. Like geaux says, some players improve clock speed too. Most of the guys at this level have had pretty good strength and conditioning and speed mechanics coaching for quite a few years though. Disclaimer: burd doesn't know shiat.

    What needs

If you'd agree to deliver the pizza without taking a tip, I'd appreciate it. Just like winning one game, that's a start.
  8. I think most of us expect CC to good this year. It's been coming. I personally loving seeing some of the old programs that have been so good in the past play at a high level again, like CC and Tech.
  9. I think that will be true of a lot of teams Mankato plays this year.
  10. I'm sure you never did anything like that.
  11. Mankato will win their share of games this year. They can skate, and they seem to play hard.
  12. Yup. Stick penalties are usually caused by a foot problem.
  13. Set up by a bad choice of pass. Kawaguchi?
  14. Bad enough the program is in steady decline, but on top of that you've got global warming and loss of the middle class. It all started when Blais left.
  15. What I think you mean to say is that you desperately need the team to win to feel good about yourself, for some reason. When they don't, your anger and frustration lead you to vent like this, and 90% of the time it's to say they could win if they cared enough to but don't.
  16. I thought a couple of passes tonight were real nice.
  17. The Tims are the best radio hockey team on the planet. Were.
  18. I painful over/under bet would be how many times Tim says "cleared but not out" and his color guy says "yup" while Tim is talking.
  19. Yeah, there's that.
  20. I'm always bummed when I learn that streaming video will probably not be available--until I realize I get to listen to Tim call the game. Years ago, before widespread streaming access, he was my source for Sioux Hockey, and I'll always treasure those times--he's that good, IMO. So, you give something up, but you get something good back too.
  21. AND . . . he doesn't believe in playing a full 60 minutes.
  22. I'm glad you pointed that out. Berry does not work on shooting and scoring. Never has.
  23. Lots of time and space with this Manitoba team, so that's a little misleading, but the boys seem to have real good stick work.
  24. Play a full 60 minutes of hockey; tape to tape passes; one shift at a time; get some greasy goals; the name on the front is more important than the one on the back; write your mother; and wash your underwear. What'd I miss? Oh yeah: backcheck.
  25. Problem is that encourages him. Her. It.
