When he was at UND, Greg was an intelligent, gracious young man.
 -
At 88 days, that's not for the curious, it's for lonely, pathetic, idle losers, i.e., most of us.
 -
I find that comment a little surprising. When has UND outrecruited Mich, BU, and BC for No. 1 draft picks east of the western shore of Lake Michigan?
 -
Oh, so I'm a small snake or bullhead? btw: is small snake redundant?
 -
My life is nothing to get excited about, but yours must be a bit pitiful.

So many college hockey programs! I remember when it was just Michigan, and they won all those titles.
 -
How were Gretzky's skating and acceleration assessed pre NHL? Not a rhetorical question, and not making a point. I don't recall his tangibles being that high, though, other than his freakish ability to cause goals.
 -
In another context, that could have been a worthwhile discussion, but the Moderator made the right call. That vigilance in keeping hockey threads free from political discussion has made ss.com better than it might otherwise have been.

Corollary rule #8: Always assume your opponent assumes their opponent thinks like a 12-year-old special needs person. And they may be right.

I'm a teenager, lacking judgment and jacked with hormones and self interest? Give me the moneys and the bunnies.

Sure, Berry can recruit elite scores; I only wish he knew how to get the grindah shot-blockers. Sigh— I guess we’ll just have to settle for what we get.
 -
Oh great; you just opened another can of worms! Do we really know that none of those other players are a coaches' kid?
 -
It’s all relative. Michigan, which has struggled to win natties since your grandparents bought hula hoops, has an endowment about 30 times that of St. Thomas.
 -
Dustin Penner was a success story at Bottineau and beyond, but didn’t he fail several times to get on the roster of Manitoba junior teams? I understand his late physical maturation partially explained his out-of-nowhere progress.

	You're legit, Sic.
 -
Yeah, the fact that he thinks it’s uniquely witty tells you all you need to know. I’d guess he’s a self-absorbed dullard.
 -
Sure, he waits til regionals to show some Sioux passion. If Gaber had been hit with a few chairs during the course of four seasons, maybe that chair just raises a little welt— or sails harmlessly by.

We didn't lose focus nearly as much as DU. At that time. -

Except that early losses to teams they should have beaten has been a problem, though not last year. -

If there is any recruiting value in it, they should schedule them. I don't know whether there is. -

He knows how to screen a goalie and needs to be on a line with at least one sniper to take advantage of that. -

Just under 6 months to puck drop. Wooo hooo! Game thread? Not much in my life between now and then. -
Great; now they all know another of my weak spots? I'm transferring my file to Wilbur. I went to you to deal with my gf trauma, and now I gotta go to Wilbur to deal with this. Plus, with him, you just eat popcorn and watch old westerns, and you get to play table top-hockey if you stay on your meds between appointments.

Sic is there so often he has all the wall art and floor tile layout memorized.

ZPar represents to me the kind of player who, when you say "net presence," shows that doesn't have to mean big banger who will put up big penalty minutes. His stick skills were his bread and butter, but a shytload of his goals came from just being around the net. Stick skills, as I said, plus first-rate anticipation skills and toughness. It helps, but you don't have to be big to be big around the net.
