  1. It was a little reminiscent of Derrick LaPoint.
  2. There's no better time to have a non season ending injury though.
  3. I think their primary objective tonight was play tight D. They have done that, though I don't know how the Lakers missed that one wide open net.
  4. I thought they played quite a bit better in the first last night. The score, though . . .
  5. I can't say I couldn't care less whether you could care less about any of this.
  6. Truthfully, Mafia, I like TCoS better. It can be pronounced as a word. So I'll go with that. I guess we can always ask Hammer.
  7. Yup. You gotta get him back in there. And it's not just for Cam. The defense needs to know they have to stay on their assignments, something they have been forgetful about from time to time, and Zane has bailed them out more times than not.
  8. One thing that seems to have improved a lot this year is our ability to maintain possession along the boards and come out with the puck. Parks is a beast, but others have been doing this very well too. The cycling is better as a result. Wondering if it's just my imagination or others have seen this.
  9. Mafia Man could care less about this usage.
  10. Not a traditional circle of sticks, though.
  11. Hak's boys score 7 while Blais' boys get 7 against them. Who you gonna fire?
  12. Those are small voices, though, with how well the FB and BB teams are doing. Unfortunately.
  13. That's true. Once they smelled it they really went for it.
  14. He sure made some good saves in the second. The boys missed a lot of nets in the first.
  15. That's a little blind. They played very well on offense in the first but just couldn't bury them. The flood was coming.
  16. Boys are playing well on offense. Could have 5 easily. Thank god we have Hak in box and not Blais--his team's getting handled 7-1 tonght.
  17. She looks like a nice girl from Pembina.
  18. Dang, this talk about Slovaks makes me miss Sparky.
  19. I've been to games at the old barn, old Ralph, and new Ralph. The "atmosphere" at the old barn was unbelievable as a pure hockey experience, but I'd rather see a game at the new Ralph.
  20. I look at it selfishly at this stage of my life. If School B gives me many more weekends of great, winning hockey, I'll take that over many weekends watching so-so hockey. Everyone wants the team to win the banner, but those are single event pleasures except for the bragging rights, which hold less value now than they once did. I'd love to see Hak solve the championship riddle, but to have the third highest winning percentage of all active coaches is no small feat. That's a boat load of winning hockey we have the benefit of watching.
  21. I agree and can't even say why. There have certainly been more talented teams in recent years, but this group has a resilience that is very appealing. The locker room leadership must be good.
  22. With away series at Miami and UNO next semester and UMD at home, it will be a real challenge to replicate their usual second half surge. But there is something about this team that is special. Not sure what it is, maybe he lack of a real star. They skate well throughout the lineup, and maybe they understand that they all can and must make a difference. It's a good bunch.
