My cousin, Huck Seed, who won it sometime in the 90s, has grandparent roots in Bottineau and Minot, but I'm not sure Huck ever set foot in GF.

Having one or two players with elite puck possession skills can make such a difference--one that creates opportunities for everyone on the ice, including the four-year guys.

I think Tim was at his absolute best when there were two Tims at the mike.

What I find surprising is that our coaches, with all their experience, haven't been trying to get plenty of players who can handle the puck, pass accurately, and score.

My old hockey coach had a big arse, and he would say you can't drive a spike with a tack hammer. Teachers and coaches would not say such things today.

You guys act all giddy like blue chippers are all that matter. I say they need players who will play a full 60 minutes and use crisp short passes.

Glad I'm not completely senile. I'm thinking around the time Terry Paukert and Gary Purpur played. Those Central teams Gambucci coached were amazing. They did well against Twin Cities teams too.

I recognize the Spicer name from back in the Gambucci days, is that right?
