Good game for the guys tonite. Bochenski with 2 Lundbohm, D Hale, Genoway, McMahon all score. First goals for Hale and Genoway on the season. Sounded like Prpich had a good game but afterwards Blais seemed to indicate he would break up that first line as they did not play off each other very well. Blais was not happy with the odd man opportunities the team gave up. But was happy with Ranfranz making the saves on those chances. Blais said Marc has earned another start, probably in the Christmas tourney. Blais is concerned as R Hale hurt his shoulder. Sounded like a seperation and he would sit tomorrow night, anyway. D Hale was interviewed later and he said no seperation and R might play tomorrow. I'm happy to see the 4 guys other than Bochenski who scored tonite. Very good for them. Connelly also seemed to have some good chances and is on the verge of getting his first goal. Maybe tomorrow...
  2. Duly noted above, thank you.
  3. I used that as my working list.
  4. For what it is worth I have been slowing getting this together. Let me know if I missed anyone, but I think this is fairly accurate. It's especially tough with some of the overseas sites. Sometimes knowing the language would help..........I didn't add the guys in the NHL because info on them can be most easily found, but if someone wants to add them that would be great. 5. Thanks for the info. Great stuff. I hope Canady made his peace. The team can use him. Anyone else get excited hearing Prpich could play on the top line this weekend? This kid is really coming on and could be one heck of a contributor...Great job, Mike!

    Fan bus

I think back in 2000-2001 when we got kicked 6-1 on Friday night in Kato their student section had a whole lot of fun with me in my Sioux jersey. Unfortunately I was the only Sioux fan close by. Also sucked that I was not present to gloat on them the following night when we returned the favor. This year do to missing the SC series, I plan to make both games in mankato. Maybe Sioux fans can meet up somewhere....
  7. The best part: "Repeat as necessary"
  8. They put a couple of steaks on their eyes, boarded the bus, and popped the top on a couple of cool ones. Ah, the good ol' days.
  9. I saw that on TV too. I think he was just "there" and wasn't seperating. Blais was sending a message to the guys "get out of here". Wouldn't want to be Canady today. I would, however, be curious to know why he did it. What provoked him. What was he thinking? It's too bad because I thought he played a good hard game from what I saw on TV.
  10. Ha! I thought that was YOU. Except I figured you would be with more people. No but you probably saw me. I was sitting 3ppl to his right, at the bar. Had a green Sioux sweatshirt on. Had no clue where to find you all. Was just happy to watch the game.
  11. Saw the last 2 periods on TV tonite. 1. Am curious how many penalties SHOULD be called when someone is mugging Parise that aren't. 2. Am also wondering if Blais will keep Parise OFF the ice in the last minute of the game because, apparently, he is not allowed to make contact with anyone ala last Saturday's bogus slashing call and tonite's bogus running the goaltender call. Sheesh. 3. What happened after the game, when the teams had to be seperated? I saw Blais actually grabbed on of the Sioux players and pushed him back pretty aggressively. He looked really pissed. Little help.... 4. When Blais took the timeout was he lighting up the team or just cooling down the Huskies? 5. Curious what Blais postgame comments were, especially on Siembida. Thanks Nice to see the Sioux come back tonite. This is a big sweep. I thought St. Cloud played pretty well tonite, limiting the Sioux's ability to carry the puck through the neutral zone. Also very nice to see Canady and Connelly on the ice together. I think those 2 guys really come to play and I really like Connelly's speed. I hope he can find the ice a little more consistently. I see it was probably at the expense of Fylling... Man the ref's were bad tonite. Missed calls for and against the Sioux. I mean really bad.
  12. up. BTW I made the last couple periods at Bloomington. You might have thought that place was REA South. Many many Sioux fans there, and many tv's turned to the game. More on this game than the gopher game. Way to go Senser's!
  13. Who's willing to give me money for showing.
  14. I long for the days Blais could roll 4 lines/ WIth Fylling and Canady out with Genoway, is it that big of a risk? I don't want to see the guys getting tired out. I want to see it happen to the other team. I think that may have happened last week with Mankato. Blais rolls 3 lines Friday in the 3rd (which he HAD to do for the comeback), and then plays the 3rd line sparingly on Sat, and again not much in the 3rd. I think the guys got tired and Mankato starts coming back. Roll 4 Coach, and let it play out. (I'm so smart)
  15. Interviewed after the game Blais seemed pretty happy with the team's effort except for the penalties, especially the 5 on 3's. Was not happy that R Hale did not get the puck out of the zone at the end of the 2nd period when he could have, which led to D Hale's penalty. SCSU scored at the end of the next PP to start the 3rd period. Was happy with Siembida. Second game in a row that Blais said Josh had a poor save % for the game but really played a good game. Didn't seem to feel the goals were Josh's fault. Happy with the strong forecheck, says it tires the other team out to be chasing your guys around. Hopefully that carries over to tomorrow. David Lundbohm was interviewed. Said he talked to a couple Huskie players who said they don't like playing against our large physical defensemen. They will probably be "icing" tonite.
  16. Depending on weekend plans it is now possible I may join one group or the other on Saturday. Not sure yet. Bloomington is closer, will I be welcome there?
  17. The Topeka website lists him as having committed to UND. Beyond that I know nothing.
  18. Calling to mind John Cleese in Silverado; "Today, my hated foe is the Huskies" Drop the puck
  19. You know that might be pretty good. Just paste up a little "You Are Here" map.
  20. Someone on USCHO gave line combo's according to the St. Cloud Times. The 4th line was Fylling Genoway Connelly. Does anyone know Canady's status? He didn't show in the line-up.
  21. Geez, if you guys can't sneak in TP. The Sicatoka is right, though. That has GOT to go in the P-box with Finger.
  22. I don't like the student's current method of yelling "Who's he, he sucks s___!" First of all, the best chants are those that are simple and easy to yell loudly. The last word makes the chant too cluttered. Secondly, as you get older it is much harder to accept yelling the last word with kids or older adults around you, or even with your own kid in tow. Therefore, I would suggest if the fans dropped the last word and went with the "Who's he, he sucks!" they would get more participation. Me, for instance. Heck, I still yell that at the final five. Just no one else is around me. Secondly, maybe it was the lack of students at the Thanksgiving games this weekend but on Saturday night when I was there the "seive" chant was the lamest thing I have ever heard. I think that baby needs better coordination. Sieve chant is still great, if you can get everybody to do it. Yep, I'm a chant expert.
  23. Hmm. And I'M accused of sharing my personal life.....
  24. I have no insight myself, but this keeps coming up and keeps getting buried as well. So hopefully it never happens. If it does, yes I think the Sioux should, if they can. I would doubt they could, however.
