Yay for me! Then I get to go home tonite. That will keep my ego in check. It's still a bit unfair in those cases where an athlete leaves for the pros. In many of those cases it seems like once they know they are on the way out, they quit working at school, so their last quarter/semester would often put them in the ineligible category.

Yes, I just wish I could remember if that is section 104 or 105. I've told important people the wrong section in the past. That's very embarrassing. I'm almost sure it's 104. Row 11 and seats 12-14. That much I remember. I'll have to check my tickets and confirm.

I said hi on the way out too, and told him I enjoy his work on the broadcasts. He asked me why we were all cheering for UMD. I said it's because we hate Denver and that moves us to the 3rd place game on Friday. He said "Good. I knew there was a good reason. Also you won't have to play MN on Friday night." I said that's no big deal as we'll play MN on Saturday night! Nice guy, and while I felt like I had interrupted a conversation he was having with someone else, he seemed surprised and almost disappointed that I was checking out so quickly to head home.

The Thursday play-in game should be a real fun game with UMD and SCSU. I would hope there will be a lot of those teams fans there to make for a fun atmosphere. I'll be pulling for UMD. GO UMD!

WAY TO GO DOGS!!!! Looks like there were a couple upsets in the first round assuming SCSU hangs on to finish CC. Dogs do the Sioux a favor and move the Sioux into the Friday afternoon game. Very nice. Thursday's game should be fairly exciting with decent crowds with UMD and SCSU fans there. Can't wait! From what I saw on TV I thought Miller looked promising tonite. I thought for sure he was going to score on one chance, and had a couple of other nice moves where he just couldn't hold on to the puck. He definitely showed some puck skill. I've said I've been waiting to see Watkins use his speed to his advantage and tonite there were a couple of opportunities where he seemed to turn on the jets. One going down the right wing and walked a defenseman but lost the puck as he was turning the corner to cut to the net. Really wanted to see him get that chance. Being a Sioux fan, here comes the obligatory complaining about the refs that we do so much more than other fans of other programs: Not sure what the stripes were looking at when they missed the mav throwing his stick across the crease to thwart Spirko's scoring chance. I mean, there were only 3 guys in that end of the ice and one was Spirko and the other was the goalie. Not sure how they missed the stick. Sure is a relief to see the boys finish this game off. Can't wait for the Five now.

I would assume so since Senser's in Bloomington will have it on the tube.

I called and the game IS on at Senser's tonite. Will be heading down there.

I don't blame you. The drive home would be rough enough having to work tomorrow, but that forecast is not a good one for travelling. You know what they say about discretion... I too am planning on Senser's tonite, and am checking with 2 others.

Thanks for mentioning this. Earlier in the season Stafford got a lot of criticism around here for not being a leader. But I think we've read enough from him lately to know he's pulling his weight. Get well soon, Drew. The Herald said Miller played with Prpich and Marvin last night. It would appear Hak is happy with the play of Kaip/Watkins/Kozek and feels it is important to keep them together. I would like to see Miller play and see how he does.

Good, with MafiaMan out of the way I won't have to worry about being pummeled at Senser's tonite. The kid just johned about 15 minutes ago. If I wasn't going to be abandoning the family for the Final Five I might have tried to ride up with you guys. Plus, it may be tough getting home tonite with the forecast. Well, I like where you are going with this, but here's one small difference "North Dakota (31-4-2 Overall, 24-2-2 WCHA)" Still, I'm keeping the faith. Right now I'd rather be the Sioux than Mankato, and I couldn't say that prior to last night's game.

I must be mixing him up with someone else. I thought he was the guy I'd heard could score a ton but skated like me, which is why he didn't have the big programs after him.
