I don't follow all these details like many others so I could be wrong on this. But I thought that you couldn't hurt your PWR rankings by playing a lesser team in your conference tourney?

Great news, Robbie Bina! Good luck to you. After seeing that hit happen 11 rows in front of us last year, it's just a relief to see how well he's been able to recover. I will not forget sitting in that seat, with that horrible feeling in my gut as he lay on the ice.

Every week Hak says something that impresses me

Even a blind squirrel....

Lee appears to play a less aggressive, more calculating game than some of the other freshmen D like Jones or Finley for instance. I wonder if players like that take a little longer to get comfortable. It might be a simpler game to play like Jones, for instance, than Lee.

Actually, if the Sioux sweep Denver, they would be 3-1-0 against DU this year. I don't know the tie breaker scenarios, but I would hope head to head would be the first tie breaker.

Give me a break. If you really expect us to believe the coaches don't come here to get their list of prospects.....

I'd bet Bina will be back on the ice next year and that would give the Sioux 7 defensemen without Bina. That's a bit thin, but doable if necessary. Still, another good D could be out there for next year in case Marto needs another year in juniors. And who knows, Marto's season is not yet over. If his team goes deep into their playoffs, he could get a lot of playing time yet this year.

I think the Sioux could handle BSU.
-
I'd rather it be one goal now, than one goal last October. Hopefully he'll figure it out. If not now, maybe after an additional year in juniors.

I missed that. Good.

This is the most compelling argument I have read yet. I realize that means little, as I have a limited legal understanding. This seems very compelling.

Really enjoyed our recent trip to GF for the Duluth series. What a couple of great games. Couple of thoughts. Our group was really appreciative of the band being in the lower bowl. We thought that really helped with atmosphere. Tried to get the crowd chanting a few times (Let's Go Sioux) but had trouble getting up any interest, and the one time the band caught on they started up off-beat. What's up with that? Anyway, I dug Cowbell Guy. He got a big cheer from the crowd on Saturday night. If the guy is reading this who yelled out afterwards "He's just a band geek, people!" and then proceeded to tell your lackeys and everyone around how you used to pick on guys like that in high school, you can kiss my ass. We expect that attitude from gopher fans, not one of our own. How about having fun at the game instead of sitting quietly at the game with your 4 door 4wd red pickup stuck in your pants. Also dug "All By Myself" played when the 'Dog was sitting in the sin bin, all lonesome. I hope more of that kind of thing is thrown into the mix. Very impressed with the students in the 2nd deck on Friday night. You put the students in the first deck to shame, along with the rest of the crowd. Very active and vocal. Way to go! Would love to see the words for Stand Up and Cheer on the ring. It would help me as I haven't memorized them. Dug the band playing in the concourse between periods on Sat, and watching the little show the percussion section put on. Those guys are having a good time and the crowd that gathered was impressed. Keep it up! Here's to more good times at the Ralph!

One of my few favorite memories of Schnapps was a Sioux/Bison football blizzard in mid 80's. I'd drank up enough courage to run through the Bison band and rip the Sioux Suck baseball hat off of one of the band members. The chase was on and certain I was about to get pummelled I flew out of the stadium and never looked back. Only later did I find out they quit the chase before we even left the bleachers.

A couple years ago our quartet of guys was there and it was -30 degrees. We missed last year, unfortunately, but we figured this year, by scheduling in mid-February, we'd miss the worst winter could give. I guess not. You can blame it on us.

Nice job. I hope it's winging it's way to the MN Daily as we speak.

I see Hoff finally got to the root of his problems with North Dakotans. He owns some houses, no one wants to either rent or buy them, and one got broken into. I wonder if he's planning to buy some houses in large parts of the Twin Cities area and leave them vacant for a while and see what happens. Well, at first I wanted to be outraged at the ridiculous attack this guy made. I'm not even North Dakotan. I grew up in both South Dakota and Minnesota and went to college at UND. But this guy is so far out there he's worth little other than pity. He reminds me of an ignorant person who runs with a homogenous crowd, who rip on people different than they are, and laugh and slap each other on the back. I'm just glad I'm not like him. Oh, and one more thing. He's probably one of those "hardy Minnesotans". The kind that live here in the Twin Cities and think they are tougher than the the rest of the world because of the climate they "endure" yearly. Hell, most of these people couldn't survive 3 hours north of here.

Oh oh. Sparky's engaged and complacent. Come on, Sparky! Let's see a little fire this weekend.

Here we are:

Actually, I put him under MY underarm.

If you tuck their heads under their front "arm" pit, and shake them, it puts them to sleep. You can put them down and they'll stay like that for quite a while.

This is the quote from the above article. On face value I would agree this pretty much says what you are assuming. If we want to dissect this for the sake of speculation, we can do that. For instance....who wouldn't love to play for the gophers? I mean really. Other than if you grew up hating the gophers because of the rivalry, who can be critical of their coaching, facilities, program, success, etc? On the other hand, "I'd love to play for the Gophers" is not exclusive of "I'd prefer to play for the Fighting Sioux". Do I really believe the Sioux will end up with this recruit (assuming he's as widely wanted as reported)? No, not really. But has any hard evidence been provided that precludes that possibility? Not that I see.
