Does Atlantic Hockey Association continue to progress toward competitive equity with ECAC and Hockey East? Ever since they raised their scholarship max to 18, their winning percentage in non conference continues to move up (slowly).

I was pleased to hear Buccigross mention a few (several) times how tough the NCHC is, and that its the best conference in college hockey right now. That can only help recruiting, across the board for all 8 schools. Backed up by some numbers UMD 16-9-1 vs NCHC opponents, a .635 winning percentage. 13-2-1 vs everyone else, an .844 wpct. Final conference numbers for NCHC 56-23-8 .690 Some smart moves 7-8 years ago paying dividends.

Grimaldi with his first playoff goal. Kids, pay attention to where he goes before the goal. https://www.nhl.com/predators/video/grimaldi-pots-first-playoff-goal/t-277437416/c-67710103

St Cloud went 3-2 vs UMD. I'm betting on a banner ....

Aaron Dell working some magic in San Jose tonight. Enters the game down 3-0 6:39 into period one. Team scores 3. Game tied after one period. Cause and effect? You be the judge. -

Joe Pavelski scores on a deflected slap shot off his chin. Then returns to the game. He's a hockey player. -
Goodbye to a SiouxSports Friend * Godspeed, sprig

Offering my condolences to his family and friends. siouxsports.com was all the more interesting for his insights. He will be missed. -
I am wishing for a St Cloud win. (not all that confident given their history, but maybe all they needed was a different coach) Four different NCHC teams, four years in a row - would be great for conference recruiting and overall competitiveness. Edit: Mankato would be a good outcome too.

Canisius is hemorraging too. Six guys already have gone pro. Okay, okay, they were all seniors.
-
I certainly do. Watched the game in person. Plans were to drive home after the game ended but it kept going on and on and on ... Lake Placid is a great setting for hockey.
-
That's alot of recruiting mistakes - or perhaps coach ego. Or maybe he's doing the Mike Eaves roster construction method (half the roster is seniors once every four years, and that's the year you go for Hardware).
-
Probably to beat the traffic. PS. +1 for a great setup line.
-
You are underestimating the arrogance of U-Minnesota and U-Michigan hockey fans.
-
Thanks. I have it on mute while also watching the UND game. I've made fun of how bad their attendance has been this season but tonight Mariucci is quiet as a graveyard. Time for U of Minnesota to just put hockey out of its misery.

What's up?

As it relates to JBD, I'd like to think the "clear his head" line was code for "he has a nagging minor injury that we're going to let heal up before the playoffs start".
-
I think we match up better vs Western Michigan than Denver. Plus Todd Anderson is retired, so our odds of a road win increased ever so slightly.
-
Herald coverage of Kennedy has been pretty one-sided against. I can't help but be suspicious of their political motives.
-
While the game is 5x5 (and the score is even), we look pretty solid. We can't get into a special teams battle with these guys.
-
I thought it was a horse bleep call on Rhett. If that's a cross check, then it should be called 150 times per game.

Watching the last 10 minutes of CC vs Western Michigan. CC really looks good, creating many good scoring chances. WMU getting nothing. Still 4-4, late 3rd.
-
Another Friday night with good team play. Really well coordinated, covering for each other and reacting to what your linemates are doing. With a lead, we actually look pretty good. (Conceding the first goal is a different story.) I'm not happy that UMD got away with a couple minors that should have put us up 5x3 late in the game. Reffing the scoreboard - argh. Congrats guys! Lets do it again tomorrow.
-
Well both, but I was thinking his coaching is what we miss now.

I think our goaltending misses Goehring.
