First five minutes, QU was all over them. The last haf of period, BC has used a couple PP to get momentum, but no goals. First reactions: don't take penalties vs QU. Their PP should be good (if only all those 5th year guys and experience). BC has a fair bit of speed and skill; too early to say if they will compete for titles. I'd say we should have success vs Q by seeking to play deep in their zone. BC has given them troubles with D crashing in, and with short quick passes to change the point of attack.

ESPN plus carrying a feed of Providence 0-2 Quinnipiac. mid 2nd period. Exhibition game, so results taken with a grain of salt.

Dylan St Cyr transferring makes sense (playing time squeezed by the younger all-star). Maybe the same thing with Smilanic (more playing time on the top 6 / PP at Wisconsin than at QU)? I still think Perets/QU defense is overrated. In four games vs Western teams last season (UND, ASU, St Cloud, Michigan), his save percentage was .862 and GAA of 3.47. Yeah, all those shutouts against teams in the bottom third of Pairwise pad the stats, but ... I guess we shall see in two weeks if I'm right.

Well … we beat MO St by more than Arkansas did, so obviously we are ready to win the SEC.

Happy that our schedule gives the rookies and new goalie another week of medium-difficulty opponents before they get hit with the top teams in the country.
