  1. I think this year and the across the board actions of the Ivy League could be enough to lead to a break up of the ECAC. It's possible that they just split 6 and 6, but I think the remaining ECAC schools might seek to pick up some extra teams, either from the top of Atlantic Hockey or maybe a smaller Hockey East school like Merrimack that has struggled to be competitive. Hockey East has had a lot of parity in recent years, so not sure if their is any kind of acrimony like there was in the dying days of the classic WCHA that led to creation of NCHC.
  2. I could see an eastern realignment again creating 3 leagues out of existing ecac and hockey east. Ivy league, hockey blue bloods, and leftovers.
  3. I bet they try to get 14 then split with interlocking schedules but 2 autobids.
  4. Trust me, it won't. Do you remember the Redskins Super Bowl wins any less because they came in strike seasons. Or the Dodgers 1981 World Series win. Same with Stanley Cup or NBA Champs in lockout shortened seasons. Once the banner goes up and the rings are fitted, its a title.
  5. It's not quite that cut and dried. The rule says there is no PI If the kick trues to simulate a kick by throwing high and deep. A swing pass or short sideline throw would not seem to apply. High and deep is certainly open to interpretation but it's not a blanket waiving of PI on a fake.
  6. Agree. AIC and Notre Dame should be switched. Not sure how the Iriah even got in. Having ASU as the Washington Generals sure helped the Big 10 this year.
  7. Will learn a lot about the team and coaching staff next Saturday. If they shake yesterday off can still make a lot of noise, definitely a character week.
  8. And it's the coach. WTF.
  9. UND, mankato, duluth and bemidji is a very real possibility.
  10. QU still could be. Unless there are standby teams like there were for BBall.
  11. Because ncaa can pay for a bus ride rather than a flight. Money talks.
  12. They should be playing the tournament at one site this year.
  13. Yes. It's a relatively new elite private school. Most noted now for being the alma mater of Christian McCaffrey. They are pretty dominant in just about everything.
  14. Kicking game is a real issue. Missed XP was deflating and essentially taking FGs off the table means going for it on 4th in instances you normally wouldn't want to. Playing indoors, I can't believe we can't get a star kicker. This was a major strength for many years.
  15. Yes. That's somewhat based on eastern members respecting big 10 over wcha. But I think losing in semis on home ice hurts them too.
  16. Tough to distribute the HEA teams to avoid first round matchups which I assume they still try to avoid. This only has 6 teams flying which it sounds like ncaa is hellbent on. Fargo regional is brutal for bracket integrity. In a perfect would I'd flip Lake St and St. Lawrence and Mankato and UMass. Fargo UND/Lake St. Minnesota St/Minnesota Duluth Loveland Minnesota/Omaha St. Cloud/Providence Bridgeport BC/AIC Q'pac/BU Albany Wisconsin/St. Lawrence UMass/Michigan
  17. There aren't technically even enough teams to require a 16 team tournament. 24 isn't happening for years, if ever. There would need to be close to 100 teams to make that a possibility.
  18. Let's just go the Oregon route and always go for 2. WIth Maag you should almost always have a chance. Maybe come up with a package of 2 pt plays for Quincy utilizing his size.
  19. Indeed. Another turnover fest from the Salukis.
  20. SDSU up 17-3 at halftime.
  21. Sorry, but with COVID, a regional in Loveland, all OT games essentially being ties and NCAA "common sense", I can't rule it out.
  22. ORU wins it in OT 75-72. Great game.
  23. Going to OT!
  24. Hard no on melting down the current nickel, but I wouldn't be opposed to a new one based on the 2004 Lewis&Clark design, commemorating the expedition's winter in ND.
