  1. Looks like Ramsey landed on something called Highland Community College in Northwest Illinois. Best wishes to him on his future with the Cougars and beyond. https://highland.edu/athletics/mens-basketball/
  2. They were not typical SHSU strong in2019, I'll give you that, but that bad team finished 7-5 and shut out the team that cleaned our clocks in the playoffs. I don't know if that's saying much about us, if SHSU is/was as "bad" a team" as you say. I'm giving the kid a little more credit for holding his own against a team that came into the Al with a lot of confidence in early 2019. He was a lot more poised in his first action than I thought he'd be. He's got a lot to build upon.
  3. https://www.kxnet.com/sports/local-sports/centurys-jocelyn-julson-signs-with-und-volleyball/ UND signs 5-8 defensive specialist out of Century, also played basketball for the Patriots. When I saw the last name, I thought we might be getting a front row player, as there was a Jackson Julson, who grew up out in Dickinson and who at 7 feet played center for Cincinnati under Bob Huggins. His dad was also a tall Class B bb stud for Leeds way back in the day. Don’t know if there’s any relation here. Jocelyn is thinking med school, so must havens good head on her shoulders.
  4. Moody’s been held out due to COVID protocol reasons recently, according to press clips I’ve seen.
  5. No crowd. Just players, coaches, officials, and media until after the New Year.
  6. Fat chance. Any rules and decorum went out the window long ago. It’s now all about click bait to drive ad revenue now. Half the mods think it’s their Divine mission to make money for the site owners. Sad. There’re countless other sites where politics and owning the other side can be done. Wish we had more sports going on so we could use these kinds of threads for owning the Bozo Boyz from down south. Now they’re in lock step with the establishment on this board. Strange bedfellows indeed. I fear the ugly is too far out of the box now to revert back to no politics again. Oh— the good ol’ days.
  7. I believe the implication is that the suppression is being instigated on the backend this time with lawsuits mostly targeting predominantly black urban districts.
  8. I for one do not think you are incorrect. But in the spirit of whataboutism, just wondering if you are sensitive to the cheerleading among what I think I am safe in describing as your side of the aisle? Or, to be fair, are you implying that the media that you view as reporting the truth does not promote themselves as bastions of objectivity and instead wears their partisanship and "own-the-libs" posture on their ink-stained sleeves?
  9. So you're saying we can expect more hours-long phone interviews with Morning Joe over the next four years to counterbalance the impromptu Fox & Friends junkets of old? That was just a partial list of Conservative media. They can't cut everyone out. Wall Street Journal, FOX News, Washington Times will ask tough questions... you will still get the news you agree with.
  10. Won't NewsMax, OAN, The Blaze, Brietbart, The Washington Times, The New York Post, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Post and FOX ask him tough questions?
  11. I think the top of both tickets could use a new copy of Strunk and White's
  12. True. But the point stands that both sides can be accused of doing it. Isn't the theme of most of this marathon thread -- whataboutism?
  13. Hence, the reason for UNDlaw’s last sentence. “Lather, rinse, repeat.”
  14. You might be correct, not denying that it certainly could be a rebuke of something. But by logical extension, since the Democrats gained a net total of 41 seats in 2018 from the total number of seats they had won in the 2016 elections, could that have been a rebuke of some kind? Is the electorate now in a regular cycle of collective rebuking from one party to the other every 2 years? What the hell is going on??!! LOL!
  15. Doesn't that apply to FB, Twitter and Insta, too... or does it change when one becomes so large (or takes on IPO status)?
  16. It got rid of that useless Emu fella, too, in the process... multiplication by subtraction.
  17. No problem with any of that. No one's butt hurt either. Just honestly curious why folks would want to limit their social media interactions to places predominated by those who think alike. Getting broader exposure to more varied voices would be more desirable, I'd think. Echo-chamber think would get really boring after a while. That's why it's so fun to lurk here where varied perspectives abound.
  18. So much wrong with this reply. Don't know where to even start so I'll head back to work and let all you full-time SS employees hash it out.
  19. You mean driving his target into the turf? Yes, me likes!
  20. How much different would Doug’s election margin of victory have been had he pulled this earlier? Oh welp, at least we’ve got Dr. Becker and the Bastiats to save the day.
  21. Bump A big salute to my brothers and sisters in arms today as we celebrate all of our Veterans and all those who have served this great nation. Happy Veterans Day!
  22. Caleb Nero = Transfer Tyree IHENACHO = New freshman
