I'd forgotten amid all this mental and emotional turmoil that the logo was deemed "offensive" as well. Perhaps I should sue the NCAA for causing me all this distress. Anyone else want in? We could be a class action.

I have been solidly in this camp ever since the NCAA "settlement". With no new nickname and/or logo, the Fighting Sioux will still be the Fighting Sioux, just not officially. But I've heard some people talking recently about adopting some "non-offensive" nickname that would coincide with the current logo; I can't imagine what that would be, nor what the NCAA would allow, but it is certainly worth exploring.

Who are these people you all are prattling on about? I don't recall seeing any of them play for UND. Start a new thread or something.

An ATO is only for the remainder of the remainder of the season, and the player can't be promoted to the NHL club as part of the deal. An ATO allows an AHL team to sign a college player whose season is over after the league's trade deadline.

Yeah, we had that a few years back. Heckuva hockey player, but as a teammate, not so much.
