  1. Dumb post. CornellHockey was polite and offered interesting insights into the Big Red program all week. There is no need to throw down a "hang banners" "where the two programs are" (lame) slam on him. This was a great series between two really good programs. Don't belittle either team's effort by resorting to playground tactics. It just makes UND and its fans look stupid.
  2. Whoa, whoa, whoa. There was beer in Walsh Hall?
  3. Any coach will tell you that all they ask of their goalie is that he make every save he's supposed to make, and one or two that should've gotten behind him. Eidsness isn't living up to that bargain. He needs to focus on his job.
  4. Makes this old man wonder why Robbie jumped across the pond. He was a league all-star playing in Lost Wages. Did the Norwegians pay him significantly more money, or what?
  5. My old age might be befouling my memory a bit here, but I don't recall Hakstol skating a shift lately. Coaches coach and players play. Time for this team to show what they've got. As I said before, I don't expect a championship from this team: too young, too inexperienced.
  6. Wow, Brian. With all due respect, I don't think the Sioux were ever in the game. I only watched the first two periods, but I never once saw a green jersey win a race to the puck. I saw a bunch of weak shots on goal, all aimed squarely at the "M" on the goalie's chest. I saw a bunch of pansy-azz passes when a crisp one was called for. There is a lot of talent on this team. They are short-handed b/c of injuries, but there is still a lot of talent. They weren't in the game, and when that fluke goal floated over top of Eidsness (who didn't even see it!!!!!!!!) they lost their composure and lost all hope of getting back in. It is a young team, maybe a year away from being a really good team. I had hopes that they'd pull a rabbit out of their hat this year, but I'll be happy with home ice and a seed into the NCAAs. This isn't a championship team; they might be next year.
  7. Make up your mind...
  8. So, you're actually going to get back to MSP in March or April, then, huh?
  9. Poor Puffy. That dam coke is a vicious mistress, and it seems to have her hooks into Jeff pretty seriously. I've watched a lot of friends struggle with substance abuse and addictions. Nothing makes sense and everything makes sense; all at the same time. Get well. Get sober, man.
  10. I thought he was talking about ice cream flavors...
  11. This is the correct way to look at the situation.
  12. You sure you want to go down this road? Compare the 05-06 Freshman class with this year's. Here, I'll help get the discussion started: 2
  13. ^You probably get a kick out of pulling out your own fingernails too, huh?
  14. I am getting really, really tired of watching Eidsness go behind the net to play the puck. Every time he does I flash back to the Final Five last year.
  15. I yell at him all time through the glass. My seats are right behind him. He doesn't pay any attention to me either.
  16. ^Goalie coach would help this team. I'm still amazed that UND doesn't have one.
  17. Bradley needs to practice keeping his rear end in the little blue area directly in front of the goal. And maybe his head in the game instead of wherever it is he allows it to go...
  18. 4 goals per game
  19. Yeah, Eidsness was (again) not sharp, and the young D made a few mistakes, but the problem with this team is that it isn't scoring goals. I really expected this talent to generate 5+ goals per game instead of the 3.22 we're sporting. We're under 3 in WCHA games! Gotta finish.
  20. I'd say you can take both Gregoire and Frattin off the list of forwards from here on out: I think Jason gets "the call" and Frattin simply moves on. Still have a log jam at D. Tough troubles to have, huh?
  21. Good for Danny.
  22. Keith is rumored to be getting a new deal too; I think I read the 'hawks are going to give him a 13-year deal! Kane's money will be a little more than Toews.
  23. Actually, that might be me...
  24. Bob McKenzie is reporting that the Blackhawks are close to signing Jon Toews and Patrick Kane to five year extensions, worth around $6,000,000 per year each. Nice!
