Didn't realize he started coaching so soon after our Championship season. -

Does St. Clair have 7 years coaching experience? -
You’re right it is strictly going by box scores. I would much rather he stay and play a year in juniors, but if people are trying to flip him to play next year, I would consider whether they can get him up to speed playing both ways. For sure box scores only give you part of the picture, but it can give you a look at whether someone is even being able to get their shot off or not, and the +/- can give you a glimpse whether they are more productive than they are a liability.
-
Not only that, but a lot of it is who they are playing against. BU, BC, Michigan, Minnesota, and other elite bigger schools are already getting most of the super elite players, and if they start winning championships it might get even harder to pull some of them away from the top schools.
-
It would be great if that is his plan. I just don’t want to lose him like Michigan State did with Cullen Potter.
-
Simpson with another goal tonight, while Pilgrim wasn’t in the lineup. Am guessing Simpson is being approached by some teams to play next year. Not sure if he wants to play another year for his own development, but the coaches better be on top of things because he appears to be closer than others as an option.
-
I would take at least getting there again.
-
But even after he states this, you will always have the gf hockey’s of the world crying about the lack of chippahs, and we didn’t want him, and we love the grindahs. I would say there are a lot of elite players that get by on skill and are soft, which often levels out the playing field.
-
…and it’s not all NCHC pride. Since it was their first, it is different. Nobody wanted Duluth years ago, and I’m sure not many wanted Denver.
-
He better. If we have to wait another 4-5 years to get there, then they made the wrong choice in sticking with him.
-
Maybe we should have built an attitude chamber instead!
-
Will their new arena make them soft if Ferschweiler isn’t around to keep their style of play in tact?
-
Call Boisvert and tell him if BU has a mass exodus he can still come back here next year. BU so close, but are due to not even make a run. Interesting to see if Eiserman, Hutson, etc. come back or sign.

I would argue it is very crucial he shoots more because it doesn’t allow the opposition to zone in on the pass. Once you become too predictable it makes it harder to succeed with your best skill. -
If you will do the same and stick to basketball.

Personally I don’t see Boisvert as a cancer at all, but I guess it is probably more to the fact he bailed on the program. -

There is a lot of talk about Tocchett to the Flyers. -
Will be interesting to see if the new coaching staff has a wait and see approach on Carson. Hopefully he realizes his potential, but a bad plus minus and lack of production is going to need to be remedied if he hopes to take the next step.
-
Doubt that information would have been available to us if Schlossman had his way and Berry was still coach. It did confirm to most of us though that the program had underlying issues despite winning some league titles.
-
That would be the dumbest approach to recruiting ever. Rather than offer Shaugabay earlier, wait until he plays junior hockey, then even before he gets to Duluth, offer his linemate who you aren’t enthralled with a scholarship in hopes to get Shaugabay to transfer after a year at Duluth. Going through that for Shaugabay, and not for the Slukynsky brothers seems insane. I think this one would be an after the fact rumor, as it doesn’t seem plausible.
-
Nice to see Pinto get to 20 goals.
-
Cooper Simpson with another goal tonight so far, making it 6 goals in 8 games. In contrast Carson Pilgrim has 7 goals in 55 games.
-
Sounds like they are looking for a replacement. I am so confused by all of this, as they were talking about a contract and the school was involved, but I thought the schools weren’t involved with NIL. I do wonder what schools were offering our new portal transfer Menghini NIL deals, which Schlossman said.
