That’s the first one of those I have watched this year. Thanks for sharing that. Top notch production by Midco

I thought USD’s RB (Henry) was really good last night. Their QB made some nice throws as well. Needed more time but he will be a solid QB. Their LBs were pretty solid and weren’t afraid to lay a hit when they had an opportunity. I think they will win some games.
-
Young WRs looked really impressive last night. Crazy thing to think about is Jack Wright is still there coming off injury and will be in the mix next year, with everyone else.
-
24-14 UND with a late score to give a cushion. Competitive game all the way through.
-
I understand that and give him credit for this year. However years past I have watched other Dakota schools sign tall, lanky bodies and turn them into 300+ OL. We didn’t have success doing that. I watch them sign 9 man players from no where and develop them into valuable starters or contributors. It’s more than coaching. I don’t think I ever commented on it and gave him credit after game one because this team is starting to look different, and it’s guys that have been in the program 5 years, not just new recruits. Culture seems to be changing which is great and that is in all aspects of the program.

Than some of the comments were likely warranted.

So your saying physically the team was competing at this level the past few seasons?
-
I think there was plenty of talk on Belquist as well. I think he is more of a position fit to Bomtmans reps. Burian is 6’4” big WR.
-
Hopefully they haven’t forgotten Idaho St. Pretty humbling for any team and fan base and the reason I want to enjoy this but get a little nervous.
-
^^^ is what has been impressive so far. His team seems to really play for one another so far. Winning will certainly do that. Hustle plays everywhere.
-
Sounds like USD forced 7 turnovers. Offense needs to continue playing clean football.
-
Not sure the UND defense was trying to tackle that year either. 4th and 1 for about 60 for Zenner was the back breaker
-
Only one that pops into mind was the throw to Paulson. It was a hair behind him and the defender had a chance. Other than that, I agree

Are there any other levels of football that would require a narrower/shorter field. That was my thought when I saw them in person Saturday. Seems they are payed out for placement of either pylons or I even thought indoor softball but didn’t look to closely to see if it would work.

Lol. BisonDans comment was great......bet SIU doesn’t turn it over 5 times this week. WTF does that even mean?
-
Really good write up. Consistency has not been a thing for us in the past so I think we are as anxious to see what team shows up and if SIU was who this team really is. Will be a big test for UND.
-
The one thing that I think will help our runs defense is our CB. I recorded the game and rewatched it this week and have watched a few other highlights and our DBs are just flat out good. So fun to watch them and the depth we finally have. I agree with everything you said though, this weekend will be a test for our OL and DL like they have not faced since early last year when we got beat up.
-
We have been here before and always lay an egg the following week EWU last year Idaho St the last two years Idaho in 2018 I’m sure I could go back to 2017. Saturday was a lot of fun at the Alerus but this team should not be satisfied. We have beat ranked teams before

I liked how Freund used Skonka as the speed WR. He hits his top end pretty quick and is just a great athlete. Him and/or Belquist in the slot with the two big WRs on the edge was great yesterday. Also, the guy has take some heat the last few years but our athletes are finally getting the look of D1 athletes out there across the board. OL are big and lean and skill guys were impressive. Shout out to the strength and conditioning program.

Ladies have lost to the middle of the pack teams. I don’t expect much next week. It will come down the series vs. Denver, WIU and Omaha. Need to get at least a #6 seed or it really doesn’t matter.

Makes the recent email from Boise to AAC make a little more sense.
-
Awesome. #3 ranked CB in the state of Wisconsin and #14 overall.

UND (1-8, 0-0) vs Kansas City (4-5, 0-0) (Game 1) 1/2 330
