  1. Just please tell me Dickinson Trinity isn't playing this Saturday and make my day. What a joke that a school in the neighborhood of 400 students co-ops with another school (New England) to continue the domination of schools like Belfield, Killdeer, etc.

I think you need to check you #'s. Dickinson Trinity's enrollment is only about 170 I believe and New Englands in around 70. That is a far cry from 400. Also, Dickinson Trinity doesn't play Belfield and Killdeer in football and does not co-op with New England in any other sports. New England contacted them because if they didn't co-op they wouldn't have had enough kids out to run a program and would have had to drop it. You might want to check stuff like this out before you make a comment that really makes you look arrogant and foolish.

  2. siouxmenow still in a state of delusional thinking!

The Fargodome is set up perfect for fans, better than the Alerus. It get pretty loud during the regular season but come playoffs, a person can barely think in the Fargo dome. I was down there once for the Dakota Bowl and i tell you what, those high school fans really know how to make some noise. Anyone who has witnessed a game at either place and isn't kidding themselves will tell you that the atmosphere is way better at the Alerus. Its loud in the Fargodome, but the noise is unbearable in the Al.

  3. YOU people are the jealous ones. You're jealous because SU made the move. You can deny this, but it's obvious. UND plays D3 caliber football. They would have trouble with a strong St. Johns or Concordia team.

Must have been frustrating to be getting you a$$ kicked by a D3 caliber football team the last ten years before you made the move. The rivalry definately shifted alright. And that "if you can't beat 'em, just stop playing them" attitude really has worked well for you. Even has made you feel D-I

  4. 1. I agree with your points, but it is my opinion that there is a "wide" gap between the two divisions. Have you ever seen a DIAA football game? If not, go to one and then come back here and tell me there is a small gap.

What type of gap where you implying??

  5. I know that I heard that Andy Hoffelt, and Rick Presthus are back with the team this spring....are there any others that have also returned?? I also believe I heard that ZBJ is not returning for his senior season, but I assume this is a mistake. If any one knows anything for sure about these 3 please respond, and even any new information on players returning

I have also heard that ZBJ left the team but have not facts to confirm that. Dont really know if its true or not. Anyone else hear anything??

    2. I'm glad that you are optimistic regarding UND's success if a move is made. But you are basing this on what?

Also, if you mean UND, say UND. If you mean in 2-4 years, say 2-4 years.

I have attended a D I-AA football game. It was NDSU vs. SDSU. I did not think that the gap between either of those teams and upper level DII teams was "wide". I am not denying that there is a gap. I think anyone who says otherwise is foolish (as posted a number of times). But its not this crater that you make it out to be. I know you didn't get a chance to witness the DII playoffs first hand the last few years you guys were around, but there are some pretty good teams in there that could play D 1-AA football.

  7. My recruiting area is Florida, thats why I am talking about ND kids.

We will see how it plays out. Just going by what I have heard. I may be wrong completely and these guys are gonna be great players.

You maybe have heard more about this than I have. I am just looking at it from the $$$ side of it and your post didn't make sense. Just maybe posting a little bit of my frustrations.

  8. Since they have 60 scholarships or so, they can outbid UND with local kids, that is there goal, to get as many of the biggest names to go there. With that being said, Anderson and Gratzek are top recruits no matter D1-AA or D2, but those other guys they got are pure window dressing for them. UND didn't even go hard after one of them and NDSU scholarshiped him and gave him a forum article about it like they signed some blue chipper. They know these "other guys" are never gonna play but they do it so people think they are staying in touch with ND, which I respect that but at least make some of the players justifiable.

It will be interesting to see the list of the other recruits for this year and where they come from. That will tell a little about how important these local guys are.

I'm just curious as to what your recruiting area is since you seem to know so much about talent. Spending scholorships on all of these "other guys" as you call them just so they can sit on the sidelines is something that no coach would do. I am frustrated as well but let's have some form of common sense in our posts.

  9. I heard that the small bones in his feet could not take the abuse from his massive body frame running at the speeds that it did. They finally just gave in and a few of them broke.
