Yep, and we hopefully addressed that with a new head coach. That has more to do with a couple average/poor seasons than not having FU on the schedule.

Maybe its your AD that is the problem. UND is more than willing so you sound more lame than anything else with that excuse.

NDSU will be charging $40 a game this year for every game anyway. I know that is hard to believe when you can buy a season ticket to UND football for $40. Why make an extra $5 or $10 per ticket for one game and let your bitter rival double their football ticket revenue 2 years later in one game? I don't see any reason to help a school that has coaches that claim they are the only Division 1 school in the state.
UND is having zero problems filling our schedule. You are helping no one but to act like no one cares about the game is laughable.

Of course he is. You know how much Dan cares about track and field and softball.
He doesn't care about women's volleyball, WBB and soccer. Those sports mean nothing to him so he won't post anything about them.

Yes you folk did real well this year in the head to head meetings. Congrats. All that talk is rivalry talk dont you think? But other than that NDSU has dome pretty good on the national stage this year. 3 time defending National Champion in football. Made the big dance in MBB and made it past round 1 with a victory over Oklahoma. Wrestling and track have also been on the national stage. I could go on but you get the idea. So with those thoughts in mind can you tell me what what UND did this past year. Not a troll question as I truely dont know.
WBB made it to the big dance. the volleyball team won the big sky conference. the mens hockey team made it to the Frozen Four. the womens hockey team ended the longest streak in womens hockey.
The items mentioned above, along with sending a number of current athletes to the winter Olympics. Along with another hand full of former athletes.

I get that this is a UND site and everything GT does is evil but may I ask why aren't you guys upset with BF for rejecting GTs first offer? Those games wouldve already been played and the days of this same old pissing match would've been long over.
Its not upset that the game isn't happening, its watching how Taylor does business. He first said his hands were tied by the nickname, that was proven to be lie a couple different ways. Than it was dates, well over the years there have been many that have opened up. Than its how FU won't schedule home and homes, not true. Now it comes out that he agreed to terms and than went back on his word. Throwing out two games in Fargo is not realistic and only done by GT to make it look like he is making an attempt at moving talks forward.
UND football has more things to worry about than its scheduling, its in good shape there. The best part of all this has been the number of different excuses and attempts at changing the subject that have been brought up by FU fans in the last 10 pages. Its obvious that GT is bitter about the events 12 years ago and won't schedule the game. There is no more to it than that.

Would this be happening if there was no cooling off period and we were on year 2 of being the UND Fighting xxxx? I think the cooling off period is doing more harm than good.

Your excuses for GT are terrible. FU's president and AD cry to the media about everything from funding to people being too hard on football players who broke the law. Somehow that is acceptable?

Weber State was a big help during the transition. We have a great relationship with them. And by the way Gene Taylor is one of the most respected & successful AD's in FCS.
Explain how they were a great help and how the relationship was so great.

What's the big deal. The first 2 games should be in Fargo. UND hosted the last game so the next game to fulfill UND's obligation to to return that game that they backed out of would be the 2015 game. The next game in 2017 would be the start of a new rotation of games, which NDSU should get to host also. Why wouldn't UND take a guarantee of $190,000 for a game in 2015? They have traveled to Idaho, Fresno, etc. on a charter plane and stayed in hotels for the same amount. Seems kind of hypocritical of Mr Faison to me.
Did UND actually back out of a contract in 2003 or just announce that after FU left the NCC they were not going to continue the series? I think what actually happened and the story you tell yourself are a little off.

Exactly right, not only a F**K you but holding a press conference to boot. The game does little for NDSU and a lot for UND. UND needs something to jump start their program. That's not an opinion but a fact.
UND needs to win games to drive attendance. Without winning, the ass kicking UND gave FU in MBB didn't mean much and attendance was about where you'd expect for a .500 team. Same with the 3 wins in baseball and soccer.
The winning season that UND had in WBB and VB drove attendance and interest more than beating FU did. Getting back to the winning ways is more important. I'm actually more concerned about that than getting FU on the schedule. I also feel GT has been put through enough today and should be cut some slack until tomorrow.

Those schools haven't ever went out of their way to actively harm NDSU that I know of. Feel free to email Gene. Always good about responding.
I'd also say once the game starts....it would be an obligation to keep it going...is that the case with Montana or Weber? Unlikely. Those are home-homes. UND would be a home-home into perpetuity.
Was it written in the contract that it would become an annual game?

The first game is going to have to happen in the playoffs. Right now it is on UND to get there. After one game, the state of North Dakota will not accept excuses for the game not happening. Until a playoff matchup happens, Gene Taylor can come up with every excuse he wants.
This thread is three pages long and I also think GT has suffered enough in the posts.
