I went to the "meet and greet" this evening and it was a lot of fun. A little more organized than last year, although it didn't really work. They had us line up out in the lobby and the tables were situated so that you could just go down the line. However, with only an hour scheduled the line was too long to do this, so they eventually gave up and just let everyone in to wander. Lots of autographs and pictures. Everyone seemed to be having a good time, and the players were great. Pictures with the little (and not so little) kids, chatting, and saying thank you. It was once again a great experience. If I can figure it out I can try and put some pictures up... but not sure if I can figure that out... otherwise just send me a message and I'll email you some pictures

Be prepared to be amazed. The Ralph is an awesome building. I was raised in WI and now go to school in North Dakota, so I kinda know what you are going through... However the Sioux will always be #1 in my heart, no contest. We can't wait to have LaPoint up here!

I don't think that I have ever heard the truth stated so well. I agree 100%... it's not so much that I hate the teams, it's that I HATE the fans!!! (And I was raised in Madison) When I think of Badger fans, arrogant is the word that comes to mind
-
At the end of the game yesterday, I thought it was awesome how the "student section" and the other Sioux fans began to cheer "thank you Prpich" Just thought I would share that with everyone that didn't have the opportunity to hear it

We're leaving Grand Forks in just over an hour... I CANNOT WAIT!!! Hopefully it's a great (and long) weekend of hockey! Let's Go Sioux!!!
-
You also have to mention that the same article picked Maine to win. Not saying this won't happen, but it would be an upset...
-
Just an update... the water went over the Demers bridge today in Grand Forks I'll see if I can find anyone who took pictures today

I'm not sure if you guys have seen this or not, but the Grand Forks Herald webpage has a blog about the Frozen Four. I think the guy is going to try and write on it a few times a day. So far it's pretty interesting/funny http://www.grandforksherald.blogspot.com/

This might potentially be the longest week EVER... I can't wait until I'm done with classes on Wed and can hope in my car and drive to Madison. Lucky for me I am in the first car (leave GF around 4:00) because the second half of our group isn't leaving GF until 11:00PM on Wed night... Can't wait to be in Milwaukee!!! LETS GO SIOUX!

Thanks a lot!

I didn't see this info anywhere.... but my friends and I are staying at my house in Madison and driving over to Milwaukee on Thursday and Saturday. Does anyone have any idea how much it costs to park in the ramps?

I hate to be the bearer of bad news... but as reported in today's Dakota Student: "It apears that not everyone who bought the student tickets will be going to Milwaukee. Haugen (Ashley Haugen, a Sioux Crew executive) said the athletic department learned Wenesday that two of the ticket packages sold to students had been put up for sale on eBay. Although it was a disappointment to Sioux Crew members, the sellers did what they had to do to get the tickets, Haugen said. 'We did frown upon that, but they did stand in line,' She said. Adding, 'There are students who would do anything for those tickets.' The sellers put the two $150 three-day ticket packages on the Web site with a starting bid of $800." That are other students that would have loved these tickets. I really wish that this wouldn't have happened. There are better ways to make money. I guess now we can only hope that they sold them to Sioux fans...

This was announced last night (Monday) around 10:00pm. I decided that I would go and check it out, even though I already have tickets. By the time I got there, not long after recieving the Sioux Crew email, there were already two tents sent up and people in line. That says A LOT about our students and those that are truely dedicated. I think that the Sioux will have a great following in Milwaukee and I can't wait to be there! GO SIOUX!!!

Thanks, for some reason I thought it was on earlier... that would explain why I couldn't find it

This weekend was absolutly amazing. Hopefully the Sioux fans can carry it all the way to Milwaukee! The only thing halfway negative that I can think of to say is that it would have been cooler with the band in the lower bowl, but I can understand why they weren't. Although, from where I was sitting it was plenty easy to hear the band anyway. I read in one of the articles in the paper that UND was going to start preparing a bid for the 2010 or 2011 regionals just as soon as this one was finished.

Anyone know anything about the Wisconsin/Cornell game?
-
The crowd was amazing last night. Cheering for Holy Cross was so much fun, the "student section" made up some of our own Holy Cross cheers. And by having them win, it only multiplied the emotion and energy going into our game. Couldn't have asked for a better evening (although they did run out of mint chocolate dip-n-dots)

After we score a goal, or two, or three, I always have to high five people in the same order. And I've got a light green and a dark green long sleeved shirt to wear under my jersey, but they only seem to win when I wear the light green one, so I'll be wearing that one again this weekend

The band will be at the game, perhaps the Minnesota band as well... not sure on that though

Being from Wisconsin, I am very excited to see a Wisconsin boy committ. I can't wait to see him!

Of course... there is no way that I'm smart enough to come up with that myself... just thought I would mention it in case someone didn't already hear it

You could always make an MVParise sign

I can't speak for the other students at UND, but I know that me, and a group of five of my friends were at the Ralph box office the minute it opened up to sell Regional tickets back in October or whenever it was. When some of my other friends that I normally go to the games with found out that we had already gotten our tickets, they went to the Ralph and got theirs as well. We are sitting in 108 row A... Hopefully there will be quite a few students there, but the building will be rocking either way!
