Thanks, for some reason I thought it was on earlier... that would explain why I couldn't find it

This weekend was absolutly amazing. Hopefully the Sioux fans can carry it all the way to Milwaukee! The only thing halfway negative that I can think of to say is that it would have been cooler with the band in the lower bowl, but I can understand why they weren't. Although, from where I was sitting it was plenty easy to hear the band anyway. I read in one of the articles in the paper that UND was going to start preparing a bid for the 2010 or 2011 regionals just as soon as this one was finished.

Anyone know anything about the Wisconsin/Cornell game?
-
The crowd was amazing last night. Cheering for Holy Cross was so much fun, the "student section" made up some of our own Holy Cross cheers. And by having them win, it only multiplied the emotion and energy going into our game. Couldn't have asked for a better evening (although they did run out of mint chocolate dip-n-dots)

After we score a goal, or two, or three, I always have to high five people in the same order. And I've got a light green and a dark green long sleeved shirt to wear under my jersey, but they only seem to win when I wear the light green one, so I'll be wearing that one again this weekend

The band will be at the game, perhaps the Minnesota band as well... not sure on that though

Being from Wisconsin, I am very excited to see a Wisconsin boy committ. I can't wait to see him!

Of course... there is no way that I'm smart enough to come up with that myself... just thought I would mention it in case someone didn't already hear it

You could always make an MVParise sign

thanks!

I can't speak for the other students at UND, but I know that me, and a group of five of my friends were at the Ralph box office the minute it opened up to sell Regional tickets back in October or whenever it was. When some of my other friends that I normally go to the games with found out that we had already gotten our tickets, they went to the Ralph and got theirs as well. We are sitting in 108 row A... Hopefully there will be quite a few students there, but the building will be rocking either way!

Lets hope for numerous overtimes so that either team we play tomorrow is exhausted...

CONGRATS KAIP!!! What a first goal, it was beautiful! Let's go boys... momentum is swinging in our favor right now, keep it up!!!!

Stafford praticed yesterday with the team... leaving the WI staff confused as to if he is going to play (he isn't), but if the Badgers are spending time trying to figure out if Stafford is going to play, they aren't on their best game... Announcers think that the NHL ice will give UND a slight edge They also think Zajac, Toews, and Chorney were snubbed in regards to WCHA teams. They think Smaby should be on a higher up team. They think Poultney should be MVP. Lots of comments on ROY... "when it comes to on the ice performance, TJ Oshie was the rookie of the year" They would like to see the voting published, so they can see who voted for who. Choney and Kozek interviewed in pregame. Chorney - We've come a long way since we last played the Badgers. No freshman anymore... Badgers play solid defensively, good goaltender. Will have to use our speed and take the attack to them. UW and SCSU are two of the toughest teams to play against. We're gonna have to screen their goalie, maybe score some ugly goals. Learned a lot from the World Juniors. A lot more confident. Helps a lot to have played with Lee all season long, can read off of each other. Was huge to not have to play in the play in game. Our goal is to win the tournament, we think we've got a good enough team to do it. Like the NHL rink as opposed to the Olympic rink. Opportunity to play two great teams, that could be HUGE for our pairwise. Ever since the loss to St Cloud we've started to turn the corner, every game we are getting better. Hopefully we just keep improving game by game. Being young doesn't put as much pressure on us... we just come out and suprise people Game plan - Get a lead, UW isn't very good when playing from behind. Earl is going to take a few dives, maybe up to ten, but get out there and pound these guys into submission Kozek - apparently no Kozek...

Why not green for St Patricks Day... might as well match the rest of the arena

WISioux, never heard of him, but I have heard of Duluth Marshall. A pretty good program. However, why next year? The SIoux aren't looking for a goaltender for next year unless Jordy finds a miracle contract and goes pro. I say miracle because I think he'll be here all four years. Not really sure... I don't know the kid personally, I was going through my friend. Perhaps he could spend some time in juniors and then come and play for us. Just throwing another name out there
-
Does anyone know anything about a goalie, Jason Paul, from Marshall School in Duluth? From a friend that graduated from that school last year, I hear that is pretty good and is thinking about going to UND next year... he's a senior. I haven't heard anything about him... so I have no idea. I see that he was named to the Class A
-
Maybe goalie recruits are looking at our solid, young goaltenders and they know that they won't get much playing time so they opt to go elsewhere. I would like to see the Sioux get a few more recruits, but at the same time I realize with the HUGE freshman class that we just had, you can only have so many people on the team... It's hard to say who will be leaving early

Wanted - ticket(s) for Saturday vs Mankato
WiSioux replied to siouxguyinstpaul's topic in Tickets wanted / for sale
My friend and I have three tickets for Saturday's game, section 108 row C that we are looking to get rid of. Catch is that we will be leaving Grand Forks after the game on Friday night to head home for spring break... EDIT: Thanks Sioux Yeah Yeah -
Sorry, I didn't mean to post this twice. The first time I was told it did not go through

17-year-old rookie has come on strongly lately for the UND men's hockey team. Just thought that I would share this article with everyone. I thought that it was interesting to see the special relationship between Stafford and Toews, seeing as they both came in as 17 year olds.

I've got a story on how bad the Ralph box office is. My friend and I who are students here at UND decided that we wanted to go to the series this year in St Cloud. We went to the Ralph to purchase our tickets on Tuesday and we were told that the person in charge of tickets for the away series was working in the Betty at the basketball game, could we come back the next day. We agreed. We went back on Wedensday afternoon and spoke to an older women (non-college student). We were told that we could purchase our tickets right then and we paid. However when she went into the little back room to get the tickets she came back with nothing. She explained that she wasn't in charge of the tickets, and there were two piles and she didn't know which ones had been sold, and which ones she could give out. She asked if we could come back later in the day. We told her that both of us had class until after they were closed, but that we would be back tomorrow (Thursday) morning to pick up our tickets. We returned on Thursday, our third trip there, and explained to a new person that we had purchased tickets, but they didn't give them to us because they didn't know which ones to give out. They took our names, went into the back room and talked to another person. We could tell that it wasn't going to be good, and when they came back out we were right. We were informed that our tickets had been sent with the team to St Cloud that morning, and that we could pick them up there. We had no receipt or proof that we had these tickets and were nervous about driving all the way to St Cloud and being told that we had no tickets. In the end it turned out alright, our tickets were there... but there is absolutly no reason that it should have taken us four tries to get our tickets!

Actually, the students had the option of buying Regional tickets at the same time as the regular season ticket holders, in the current student section. October 10th - October 31st: UND students * UND students will have an opportunity to purchase tickets in the current UND student section. These tickets will be available at a reduced student-rate of $49 until Oct. 31 and may be purchased only at the Ralph Engelstad Arena box office with a current UND student ID. Limit one ticket per ID. http://www.fightingsioux.com/sports/mhocke...RELEASE_ID=4116 I know that I got my tickets, and the people that I normally go to the games with did as well. I think there will be a good showing of students...
