  1. It doesn't matter when you ask. There are always going to be some alumni for and some alumni against. Likewise there will also always be some students for and some students against. Many people who have no knowledge of UND have an opinion on this matter simply because the NCAA has brought it up. I know it isn't a good defense... but if we were so worried about "hostle and abusive" logos... then why is the football team in our nation's capital the Redskins???

    Old Ralph

An article from the Dakota Student about the future of the Old Ralph: http://www.dakotastudent.com/media/storage...kotastudent.com
  3. Article from the Dakota Student about Thursday's upcoming decision: http://www.dakotastudent.com/media/storage...kotastudent.com
  4. haha... I remember that! I can definatly see TJ wearing a letter, however at the same time there are a lot of quality character guys older than him (Fabian, Porter, Parise, Bina, etc) so we'll have to wait and see. I say that if he stays for his junior year, he's definatly got a letter
  5. I asked my friend this as well, and was told that there are three. Travis, Darcy, and Nolan. Nolan was playing for the Winnipeg Jr. Jets in the 1992 pool... so it's possible that we could have a very steady pipeline...
  6. I was just wondering if it was possible to lose eligibility...
  7. Say Toews plays another year at UND and then goes off to the NHL after his sophomore season. Would he still be able to play in the World Juniors?
  8. Travis Zajac was in Grand Forks today at the Ralph watching his little brother Nolan play in the Youth AAA Ice Palace Cup
  9. The game is at the Alerus this year because Relay for Life will be using Memorial Stadium from 7:00 PM tonight until 7:00 AM tomorrow morning and they didn't think that they would be done cleaning up all their stuff...
  10. I got bored so I figured I'd look this kid up. http://www.wsblues.mb.ca/profiles/Gregoire.html TOTAL: Playoffs GP 57 14 G 22 12 A 28 11 Pts 50 23 PIM 46 8 PtsPG 0.88 1.64
  11. Gotta love the ending of that video I can't wait until next season!
  12. Thanks! I'm gonna have fun with this
  13. How are you making these? I've got some free time and a lot of pictures... I might try too
  14. wow... that was amazing. That just might help me make it through the offseason. Is it October yet?
  15. Good luck Travis! It was great to watch you the past two years and I'm sure that you'll do well in the NHL. We have to realize that for these players it has probably been their dream since age 3 to be in the NHL. Yeah, they would always wait another year... but at the same time they have to be thinking "what if I get hurt". It's better for then to make the jump when they can. And Travis is definatly skilled enough to make the jump. GOOD LUCK!!!

    Thank You

Thanks for making Fighting Sioux hockey memorable for fans of all ages. There will never be another player quite like you. From the grin, to the water bottle, to constantly getting in the other teams head... your antics will never be forgotten. I feel bad for the next person that wears the #19 because those skates will be impossible to fill. Thanks for the memories and good luck with everything in the future!
  17. I didn't ask any of the players what they were thinking about next year... but I do remember from last year that someone asked Matt Greene if he was going to stay and he said yes... not to ruin the fun in this... just presenting the other side. Players don't always know what they are going to do until they sit down and think about it.... I don't think they've done that yet
  18. I changed it so that it is public... hopefully it'll work now...
  19. Thanks! Here is a link to my pictures, assuming that I did everything correctly it should work. http://s79.photobucket.com/albums/j157/WiSioux/
  20. I know that somewhere a link was posted so that we could put pictures on a website and link it to here... I was wondering if anyone still had that so I could share my pictures. Trying to send out emails is really hard because the files get big really fast. Any info would help... but I'll keep looking... thanks!
  21. I went to the "meet and greet" this evening and it was a lot of fun. A little more organized than last year, although it didn't really work. They had us line up out in the lobby and the tables were situated so that you could just go down the line. However, with only an hour scheduled the line was too long to do this, so they eventually gave up and just let everyone in to wander. Lots of autographs and pictures. Everyone seemed to be having a good time, and the players were great. Pictures with the little (and not so little) kids, chatting, and saying thank you. It was once again a great experience. If I can figure it out I can try and put some pictures up... but not sure if I can figure that out... otherwise just send me a message and I'll email you some pictures
  22. Be prepared to be amazed. The Ralph is an awesome building. I was raised in WI and now go to school in North Dakota, so I kinda know what you are going through... However the Sioux will always be #1 in my heart, no contest. We can't wait to have LaPoint up here!
  23. I don't think that I have ever heard the truth stated so well. I agree 100%... it's not so much that I hate the teams, it's that I HATE the fans!!! (And I was raised in Madison) When I think of Badger fans, arrogant is the word that comes to mind
  24. At the end of the game yesterday, I thought it was awesome how the "student section" and the other Sioux fans began to cheer "thank you Prpich" Just thought I would share that with everyone that didn't have the opportunity to hear it
  25. We're leaving Grand Forks in just over an hour... I CANNOT WAIT!!! Hopefully it's a great (and long) weekend of hockey! Let's Go Sioux!!!
