  1. Perhaps a poll to see what everyone else thinks... hmmm... should have added "Both" as an option for when
  2. I like this idea.... Gopher series and/or WCHA home playoff games...
  3. After going through that "Your Favorite College Hockey Pictures" thread over on USCHO.com, I came across the "white out". As "thecomicbookguy" demonstrates with this picture in the thread all the fans come to the game wearing white jerseys/clothing. I decided to look this up a little bit more. According to Wikipedia the Winnipeg Jets are the ones that started the White Out tradition... Do you think that it would be possible to do something like this at the Ralph? Maybe white, maybe green.... I'm thinking the hardest part would be getting the word out to everyone, but if we picked a game at the end of the season it couldn't be that hard... Talk to the people at the Ralph and see if we can hand out papers, have it written about in the paper, perhaps radio... Anyone else think this would be a cool idea to attempt?
  4. It looks like it to me...
  5. Correct me if I'm wrong (and I might be) but isn't the Timothy Oshie they are referring to in these press releases (as the director) TJ's father Timothy and not TJ the Sioux hockey player?
  6. I think that the fans can help with this too. Cheering and being loud in general... make the Ralph a place that opposing teams do not want to play... get in the other team's head... let them know that we are behind our team no matter what. I'm not sure how to get the casual fans as into the game as we all are... but this sure would be a great year to try!
  7. Here is a recap of Thur's scrimmage from "gladthraser" over on the Thrasher message board
  8. While coverage seems to be limited as to what actually happened at camp, or at least I can't find it as easily as I can the Blues information it seems that Thrasher fans are worried about the consistancy of Kozek and Kaip. However, in the final scrimmage (I believe), Kozek got a hat trick to help his team win the game. Thrashers Prospect Camp Wrap Up I'll see if I can find anymore information on the message boards...
  9. Comments from MizzouFan0306 from tonight's scrimmage on Oshie and Duncan: Scrimmage notes
  10. Blue vs Yellow scrimmage today at camp... with Oshie and Duncan both being on the yellow team... A recap from the Blues website
  11. Comments from Day 4, Group 2 Note Speak
  12. Back to Oshie.... One of the Blues fans at camp today did an "interview" with TJ during the autograph session.... pretty interesting depending on how far you read into it. Note Speak Interview & Picture
  13. Actually, I believe that I read over on the Blues website that Hirsch in fact was not at the camp
  14. One is kind of started in the David Toews welcoming thread... let me copy and paste it over here. Jonathan and David Toews Matt and Zach Jones Travis and Darcy Zajac Colby and Chay Genoway Jordan and Zach Parise Jeff and _____ Panzer Ulmers Hoogsteens David and _____ Hale Greg, Corey and Ryan Johnson Curtis and ______ Murphy Steve and Chad Johnson Chris and Jenny Porter Dave and Eddie Christian Lundbohms? Marvins? (brothers or cousins?) Feel free to fill in names...
  15. In a post titled "MacInnis on 590 just said. . ." Shinny states: After stirring up hopes and getting Blues fans really excited (for ten posts), Shinny adds: This thread can be found here I'm not sure what kind of "bad habits" they feel TJ is picking up playing at UND... but I don't agree
  16. Some very nice words for the UND boys from Andy Strickland's blog
  17. This is exciting news! I only wish I would still be in college when he gets here... perhaps I'll have to pursue another degree Edit: I love the whole family thing! It seems that recently as soon as one siblings leaves, another ones comes in. Genoway, Jones, Zajac, Toews... any others in recent memory? Were the Parises on the team at the same time?
  18. Another take on Day One of the camp... Oshie and Duncan are in Group 2 Development Camp There is a picture of Duncan in this blog, but also if you go to the Blues homepage there is a slideshow that you can watch, not very long but there are a few pictures of Oshie and some of Duncan as well
  19. Just thought I'd add some of the comments from a St. Louis forum for those who haven't seen them. To read more check out Thoughts on Group One From NHL TIM: From billy pilgrim: From HungarianPhil:
  20. Hey guys... Just thought that I would share some of the info that I've found on different Blues sites. Forum wise the best seems to be STLtoday One of the threads is pictures from camp... here is that one... there are a few pictures of Oshie and Duncan, both on the red team. Oshie wearing #74 and Duncan wearing #61 (I believe). There are other threads (mainly the group 1 thread) that talk about the camp thus far. Sounds like they REALLY like Oshie and are taking a liking to Duncan as well.
  21. I believe that the football team does a meet the team night with autographs at the Thursday evening (?) french fry feed before the Potato Bowl... at least I've seen them there doing it then. As far as football players vs hockey players, I've had classes with both of them and I wouldn't say that either of them are "above" the rest of the campus. All the athletes that I've met or had class with have been down to earth and very willing to give autographs or just chat with fans.
  22. Sorry... I didn't go as official as hockeydb, I just went to facebook....
  23. I think I heard once that few, if any, of the players are on full scholarship and they try to split up the scholarships so that as many players can get at least some money... that might help explain some of it... Davidson Profile It appears that he's from the same town as Chay
  24. Do we know anything else about him? How old is he? I suppose I could do some more research myself... haha Brent Davidson D.O.B. Dec 17th, 1986 According to the article in the post below, he is coming in this fall as well
  25. He's only played in two scrimmages so far, but Toews is impressing coaches and fans alike in Chicago. Toews Shines in Red 5-2 Loss The previous scrimmage, Toews' team won and he scored a goal. Reading the Chicago message boards, the fans are already predicting that he'll become a fan favorite because of how nice he is. One fan mentioned that he got Toews autograph and Toews thanked him for coming out to watch. Fans are also buzzing about his calm, cool, collected play on the ice and that he's got great puck control.
