  1. That must be a very short board!
  2. Even though it is still early I agree that the Gophers will likely make the tourney this year and if they aren't going to be a #1 seed, which doesn't seem likely, the best avenue will likely be out East as a #3 or #4 seed. That way they can avoid the yearly Michigan regional and the West Regional being held on CC's rink this year. If MN is playing well at the end of this season just like last season and can avoid the two Western Regionals they could have a good shot at getting back to the Frozen Four. That being said, I don't really care for the Gophers, hope they continue to lose games and don't make the tournament AND I hope they fire Lucia and rehire Wooger!
  3. This entire thread is ridiculous. If Sioux fans shouted racial slurs shame on them - they should know better, but to call UND fans classless and describing the football game yesterday as a circus atmosphere is laughable. Without question, the most classless thing that happened yesterday was the UNA team not coming onto the field for the national anthem. There is no justifiable excuse for not coming onto the field in a timely, respectful and appropriate manner and I don't care if you traditionally stay in the "tunnel" before every game; THAT was a very offensive gesture. As for your contention that UNA fans will turn the field against us next weekend, I don't think anyone here is overly concerned. It is a neutral site and anybody with any semblance of practicality knows that 5,000 UNA will not be in attendance next weekend to taunt UND especially since your team won't be there. I am guessing Dale Lennon is formulating his gameplan in an effort to beat GVSU and is not concerned in the least with UNA fans. However, I did hear that the long snapper's volunteer graduate assistant coach's intern is in charge of developing a plan to combat the noise and hostile atmosphere being threatened by UNA fans.
  4. Oh, it has to sting especially since Alaska played the entire game without their top forward line (all three, including Fournier, out with injury).
  5. Because UND has owned your football team over the last decade or so I imagine you are praying that we continue to play football at the D2 level. I think it is hilarious that while UND fans will be cheering for their team next weekend and enjoying the buildup to the championship game, you will likely be sitting at your computer posting inane, bitter messages on a SIOUX board. Is that some sort of irony or is it simply pathetic?!
  6. Nice work. I believe the only other name that can be added to the list is Paxton Schulte. He played one season at UND and later played two games in the NHL.
  7. RW77, Not a bad post, but one point I disagree with is Fylling's goal. Although it was nice, Porter's goal, in my opinion, was the best play in an otherwise, lackluster game.
  8. Please don't tell us what else happened.
  9. Considering he is the only person to have ever done so in the history of the program it is a pretty easy question; he is part of the reason #11 is likely the highest scoring number in UND's history. More difficult - name the players he played with at UND for at least one season who went on to play at least one game in the NHL. (cheating expected and allowed). Hint - there are at least ten names.

  11. This is such a tired agrument - will it ever end? Crookston or no Crookston, bottom line for THIS year, UND is one win away from a national championship game. NDSU on the other hand is four full seasons away from having a shot at appearing in the playoffs. I think Bison fans have bigger issues than UND playing Crookston.
  12. Although there is no rhyme or reason to how or at which games they distributed the cards, I have twenty separate cards in my possession, but two are cards showing either the logo or the REA and one card is of Blais and one of Hakstol. I am not trying to out your identity on the board, but I do not have a card of your son. However, I do have an extra pack that contains cards of Greene, Fabian, Lundbohm, Fuher and Hakstol. If you want those five cards private message or email me with your address and I will send them to you.
  13. I think they already have with Ballard. He is skilled and very valuable to their team, but has always been, and remains, a thug. Clearly, he is a very important to their team, but running up 19 penalty minutes in one game as he did Saturday night with a double minor, major and game misconduct is not very bright for any player, let alone a team leader. btw, sorry for getting off topic.
  14. Let's not be too hard on Bison1234, he is just bitter because although his mighty Bison beat Concordia of St. Paul to end their season, Concordia of MOORHEAD has played more playoff games in the Fargodome than the Bison have and that has to be a sore spot year after year after year. . . . . .

  16. Uh, what? I, for one, will take Brandt's win over the Gophers a couple of weeks ago over Montoya's loss last night!
  17. JJ23, Although Kevin didn't score as many points as David, he did have a pretty solid career at UND and ended with around 110 points.
  18. If you actually read the post to which you refer you will see that it says KEVIN Hoogsteen, who did wear #8!
  19. Not true. It may be a bit of a logjam next season assuming everyone is back, however, after next season UND will lose the following who are currently juniors: Bochenski Brandt Canady Fuher Fylling Genoway Jones Massen McMahon Schneider also after next season, they could possibly/likely lose: Parise Greene That is a lot of players (and a lot of talent) that will be leaving the program after the 2004-05 season, if not earlier, and that is why UND needs to bring in a few more players next year than they graduate.
  20. No - Sean Beswick and Ian Kallay wore #10 while TW was at UND.
  21. You can throw Roche in with the #7's. Teeder Wynne with the #11's. #8 is also a high scoring number, with Doug Smail, Neil Eisenhut, Dave Tippett (I believe) and Kevin Hoogsteen. I would guess considering Taylor and Ward are two of the five players that have scored in excessive of 200 career points for UND, Wynne with over 140 points, Parks close to hundred and Parise on the way to who knows how many, that #11 may be tough to beat.
  22. Kevin Maxwell had 82 points his freshman year at UND.
  23. Simply put, at this point, UND is a much better team in all aspects of the game.
  24. Blais mentioned on a pregame show this weekend that ZP is snakebit and very frustrated and that the coaching staff is having to remind him that he is playing well and that the goals will come.
