I just don't think we are that good this year...my God, you make the F4 four straight years, you are bound for a letdown...it would have been nice to win one of those but that's the current issue at hand...Replacement for Hak? How about Steve Johnson? this year, we will likely have a playoff series on the road and be a 4-5 seed in the Final Five if we advance. Not giving up on this year, but have not seen any consistency in this team yet. It used to be something called pride would carry us through a meaningless 3rd place game against Tech in the GLI, but that is not happening with this group yet. I remember playing the !@#$-sucking gofers in the 3rd place game at the Final Five a few years back...the Goofs mailed it in but the Sioux took it as an opportunity to make a statement heading into the NCAAs and whipped their asses and made a nice run in the tourney. Where's that kind of effort? Go Sioux!!

For those of you who have Comcast in the Twin Cities, the championship game does show up on Fox Sports Pacific on Sunday at 5:30. If you have digital cable and buy the sports package ($7/month) you will get the game. You could cancel the next day and they would pro-rate the charge. Go Sioux!!

walked home from class to the Batcave the previous day (basement apt. off Stanford Drive about 6 blocks from campus)... after me and my two roommates thawed out we headed out to the Barleycorn for Teas...one roomie was a meterologist and he spoke with T. Clifford earlier that evening and knew school was going to be closed...we only had to wait outside of the Barleycorn for 10-15 minutes...

I agree the team will gel as they move into the second half of the season; the big question is do we have the horses to make the big second half run? I don't see an Oshie, Chorney or Jonny Toews coming to the rescue this year so it's going to be tough. This team is consistently inconsistent...I thought the Saturday game against Cornell was telling; they had a chance at home to get the sweep against a quality opponent and got forechecked, backchecked, and three party checked on their way to a close loss. Let's hope they can finish the deal against the Crimson Saturday night and get this damn thing rolling. Go Sioux!

Honestly, we didn't stand the whole time, but g*dd*mmit, we were into the game and cheering at the right times...and not just when the puck went into the net...People bich about the band but it used to really get the crowd going...of course at the old place, the 6000 plus in attendance were there to see the game; not there to be seen...

Congrats, Goofers win the October/November championship...that and a quarter will get you Jack Squat...

the only rule 'back in the day' was to be loud all the time...the band and the student section were a huge factor in the games; of course in 1987 we had a lot to cheer about...
