I'm going to have to take the following as a message from above...well at least from UND's Administration. I received an email from the University today talking about the nickname, Homecoming and the UND Law School ribbon cutting ceremony. In this email it mentioned John Odegard would receive the state's highest honor. When I clicked on the link, lo and behold, it said he had won the Rough Rider Award! Brad's entitled to his own opinion but that's all it is; his opinion. I couldn't care less what Brad or any of the Herald writers think is the best name...also, it wasn't just Native Americans who fought to keep the Sioux name. Roughriders may not be everyone's favorite but at least there are historical ties with the name and it is unique to the NCAA. If you want nicknames with future controversy potential try Seminoles or Fighting Irish. End rant.

I thought it was redundant of the Hawk to write NDSU GRAD at the bottom of his letter....after reading all the errors it was pretty obvious where his degree came from.

Nodaks? No thanks. Tied with Sundogs and North Stars as worst available options, and that's saying something considering what we have to choose from. (Insert Adjective) Hawks? Thanks consultants, you really went out on a limb here. At least there's some logo potential. Going to go with Riders...sorry if it bothers Central alums but it's the best option on this terrible list. (IMHO)
