You're right...a little non-conf and a slightly more even interconference schedule would have likely gone a long way to avoid playing teams 6 times and provide a small comparison to other conferences. On the flip side, CC probably would have gotten the Covid 5 more times and only got 4 games in.
Scheel, Gaber, Kawaguchi, Hain and Pinto were total studs tonight...but how about Sanderson? Who put the quarter in that guy? He was everywhere tonight!
Gaber picked a good time to find his scoring touch again...that, and Scheel saved our bacon on countless occasions. Great effort for the boys tonight; keep it rolling!
That would set up nicely for another Frozen Four like 2005 with all members from one conference (WCHA in this case) earning a spot. The NCAA would go crazy if that happened again.
Ugly game; great win! I'm just hoping we didn't lose Senden for the season...injuries are really starting to creep up on this team and Senden's grit is not easily replaced.
