My pleasure; hope they bring back a lot of good memories.

A total of 21 players from this title game played in the NHL. UND (12) sent James Patrick, Craig Ludwig, Troy Murray, Dave Tippett, Rick Zombo, Phil Sykes, Jon Casey, Dave Donelly, Gord Sherven, Darren Jensen, Jim Archibald, and Dan Brennan to the NHL. From Wisonsin (9) came Chris Chelios, Bruce Driver, Brian Mullen, Pat Flatley, Marc Behrend, John Newberry, Phil Houck, John Johannson, and Terry Kleisinger. That's incredible!

There were still a fair amount of Sioux fans there...we ended up flying into Boston and driving to Providence. Not quite as easy as the BC fans who had about an hour drive, though. Shorter distance than Grand Forks to Fargo.

Led by Phil Sykes' hat trick, North Dakota defeats the Badgers 5-2 for the NCAA title, March 27, 1982. Great game as the Sioux took a 2-2 tie going into the 3rd period and won going away. This is from an old tape so there are a couple really bad spots; especially in the 3rd period. (1:22:00-1:26:00 and 132:00-135:00) Gotta say, those Bucky fans are really having a good time. Enjoy!

UND's Pony Express Line against Furious George's DU Pioneers in the 2011 Final Five. This game was 2 OT so I ended up splitting it into two videos. That was even after cutting out the painful interview with former WCHA commish Bruce McLeod; felt like an hour but was probably only 5 minutes. Of course I'm having trouble linking everything from YouTube so for now here you go... Video 1(regulation time) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jskF_bB6Y8c Video 2 (both OT's) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JwDTIwIxdDE&feature=youtu.be&t=1

If they did pick Grand Forks they have other rinks close by; Thief River, Bemidji, Fargo.

Only essential workers/people allowed into ND from other states?
-
Josh Seimbida, with his white goalie helmet and non-UND colored pads in goal for North Dakota as the Sioux overcome a 2-0 deficit with a 4 goal third period for the win. Seimbida had 37 saves (according to the box score) for UND.

Gotcha!

Isn’t it explained a few posts back?

Except that he didn’t actually play in the final against Bucky. Gino started Darren Jensen.
-
Is that the one where Ryan Potulny scored 4 goals?
-
Pretty sure I've only seen highlights posted for that game although it could be out there.

It's Saturday, January 10, 2009 and the Sioux are going for the sweep at REA! Ryan Duncan is player of the game with two goals. Matt Watkins introduces Kevin Wehrs to "his" corner at 42:34.

You want to make sure to get one still in the original packaging.

Yes, lets broadcast a 3 hr discussion on the long snapper the Vikes are drafting out of New Hampshire Community College in the 8th round.

You are correct on the year...and my next video will be the Saturday sweep!
-
Its Friday night and the Gofers are in Grand Forks! John Hill is behind the bench for Minny (not sure where Loo-Chia-Pet was) and the Ralph is rocking! Jason Gregoire with 2 goals as the Sioux win 6-3.

I think I was at that game and some of the Sioux fans had a 'Diver Down' flag that they were waving for him. "Dive, Robbie, Dive!"

Rylan Kaip comes up big as the Sioux erase an early 2 goal deficit on their way to a 4-3 win in the 2006 Final Five.

Man I miss the old Shangri La!

A friend of mine in Minneapolis called KFAN the following Monday and asked why the Fox Sports North announcer was crying during the postgame. The host, Dan Barreiro said, "I don't think he was crying...he may have blubbered a little though."

That was January of 2002...Sioux won on Friday 4-3 and lost on Saturday 1-2. Seimbida made 37 saves on Friday and 36 on Saturday. Whatever happened to him? He kinda disappeared by the end of the season.
