  1. I see that Ngor Barnaba is transferring out of Utah St. He is a 6'8" PF out of Rochester John Marshall. We offered him out of HS but he chose (maybe had to) to go the JC route. I wonder if we are talking to him. ******** Heck, Barnaba is a junior and would need to sit out a year. it wouldn't make sense to put him on scholarship and wait a year for him to have one year of eligibility!
  2. I would like to run an idea by former UND athletes (M or F). It pertains to a method of supporting UND athletics. Be assured - I am looking for your feedback, not your $. If interested, please PM me.
  3. You also asked about a list. UND won't publish a list so we will need to rely on SFI, Miller, etc. for info regarding who will attend.
  4. I am sure the % of invitees who attend varies each year. This is only a guess but I would 2/3 of them attend. Many who don't attend would like to but they have conflicts. This year it is on Good Friday - not sure if that is a good or bad thing. An offer or two might be made for a kid they absolutely know they want but most offers are made after the summer camps.
  5. I fell very badly for the impacted athletes but this was a good decision - one that had to be made!
  6. Good question but I don't think moving to the Summit early is an option.
  7. Please remember to keep voting - the voting is down to 8 players.

    2017 Season

This is also Jr. Day so it would be great if we had a nice crowd and made sure it was a well-run event!
  9. Five more MN kids have been invited to Jr. Day (April 14 - same day as spring game): OT Gerone Hamilton, Jr, 6'5", 260, Richfield (Holy Angels), MN OT Matt Waletzko, 6'8", 310, Cold Spring (Rocori), MN WR Michell Garrett, 6'2", 190, Shakopee (Shakopee), MN RB Jefferson Lee V, 5'9", 185, 4.4, Marshall (Marshall), MN QB Jackson Crawford, 6'3", 190, St. Paul (Cretin-Derham Hall), MN
  10. Disappointing if true - but long term health is much more important than playing one more year of FB!!!
  11. That is why I said big "what if" - you are correct that he wasn't going to come here. I think everyone understands that!
  12. A big "what if" but we offered J P Macura, SG for Xavier (playing Gonzaga right now) back in 2014. It would have been nice to have had him on our team this year!
  13. I am not familiar with these two guys - who are they?
  14. Good article on Izzy Adeoti: http://www.kendallcountynow.com/2017/03/20/boys-track-adeoti-adding-toward-big-finish-on-track/a4pm92w/
  15. Let's make sure we continue to vote for Q - it would be great if he would win this award two years in a row. https://collegecourtreport.com/award-season/mid-major-player-of-the-year-fan-vote/
  16. I might agree with you if he did anything to assist with fundraising! He apparently thinks this is everyone's responsibility except his.
  17. I do not know our exact scholarship situation but I do know we continue to actively recruit for next season. I agree, finding a 4 or 5 contributor would be great!
  18. This is info I posted about a month ago under 16-17 recruiting. Buchanon is a 6'1" PG, Franken a 6'7" wing and Moody a 6'3", SG. ################################## The three November signings are putting up some impressive numbers thus far this season: Tray Buchanon, United Township HS (22-4) - East Moline, IL Averaging 21 ppg, leading team in assists and steals Garrett Franken, Atlantic HS (12-5) - Atlantic, IA Averaging 24.4 ppg with 9.2 rebounds/game.. Shooting 50% from the floor, 38% on three's Aanen Moody, Dickinson HS (15-1) Averaging 32.5 while leading team in assists and steals Great scoring from these guys (all guards/wings). I don't think we have any scholarships available (right now, at least) but I sure wish we could find a talented big man to bring in for next season.
  19. We appreciate your comments! You have a heck of a team - good luck!
  20. I understand Pres Kennedy wasn't too pleased that we had neither cheerleaders or our bank in Reno.
  21. Cheerleaders are here (talked to a few of them last night) but the band is not. I assume that is because of spring break and the $ needed to get them here. I don't know if I like it but we have hired a local high school band that is to be really good to "make some noise" for us.
  22. Although it appears there is no chance of Franken winning, here is the link to vote for him for Iowa POY: Vote him Iowa's Player of the Year! https://www.prephoops.com/2017/03/iowas-player-year-poll/ … #iahsbkb
  23. I attended this evening's team practice and team dinner. They sure seem excited but relaxed! I don't think they will be intimidated tonight.
  24. The pairings were to be announced at 11:30 EDT but I can't find them yet. I talked to my brother in CO an hour or so ago, he knew when/where CSU was playing but I didn't ask him how he found out.
