That was interesting - "something exciting in the next few weeks". I am surprised that Matt was interviewing Tim about football. Has Tim been involved in the broadcasting of UND football in recent years? Is he going to be next year?

I agree with all of your points. I am sure that he wasn't offered any scholarship $ but was told that some might be available down the line if he "earns" it. Who knows, he may make good strides in his having a year off to mature/improve - he may be a contributor down the line.

A couple of different sites has a small forward from Houston Baptist transferring to UND. Dustin Hobaugh, 6'4", 190 from League City, TX, played as a true freshman this past season. He averaged 4 PPG and 2.5 RPG while playing an average of 15 minutes. This certainly could be a misprint - anyone know anything about this?

I agree that this vote is the most important decision that UND's athletic program has ever faced and, if we think that there are still potential voters reading this who have yet to make up their minds, let the debate continue..... It would appear to me that anyone still on the fence (and reading these posts) may choose to abstain from voting due to their simply getting tired of the continued dialogue, much of which is quite juvenile in nature! That said, whatever it takes for the vote to go the right direction (retire the nickname), needs to take place!

This whole discussion is getting very old and tedious! I don't think that anything we can say will change the minds of Dave, Fetch, etc. Let's just drop the debate - this arguing isn't going to change anyone's vote. Let's talk about UND sports, the Big Sky, etc.!

I think this question was very appropriate for this website for the reasons noted above. I don't have a good understanding of the QB situation out there. The program has a lot off challenges right now BUT I would bet they will have a very capable QB on the field this fall and that they will be a tough team to beat!
