Eddie has had an outstanding career, no doubt about it. However, keep one thing in mind, he wasn't 17 years old when he came to UND. Johnny is still only 19 and look at his accomplishments to this point. I'm not taking anything away from either one, but Johnny still has his whole career ahead of him and we have yet to see him reach his full potential. I think being Chicago's marquis player right now tells you what that organization thinks of him. I see nothing but good things down the road for Johnny.

What's really ridiculous is people (davek) preaching the evils of firearms. Especially when they have no desire to own one, or use one, and then have the nerve to pass judgement on those who choose to use them for their intended purpose. It's all uneducated psychoblabber that is completely not called for.

The sad reality is that law enforcement can only respond to an act that has already been committed. Rarely are they around to foil a crime. Some people feel that they are safer if they have a weapon to at least give themself a fighting chance, instead of just becoming another defenseless victim. I would rather be injured (or worse) by protecting myself then be in the "defenseless victim" category. However, I feel there are places that may not always be appropriate or necessary to have some type of weapon (to use in a responsible manner.)

That's awesome bro. I've looked at those, but not in the subcompact, that's a hell of a gun you have there. Maybe someday I'll have one similar.

Look, nobody is asking you to pack. If you feel that the government and local law enforcement do an outstanding job protecting you, your family and property, and you are never going to enjoy hunting or other shooting sports, that's great. But, don't preach to everyone about something that you really know nothing about.

If a person chooses to not own a firearm, that's fine with me. What I take exception to is all the soapboxer's (like davek), preaching the evils of firearms. Especially when he admits to never owning, operating, or otherwise wanting to have anything to do with a firearm. I respect the fact that some people don't like them and will never own them, please do the same for those of us who do, and choose to use them in a responsible manner. I love and support my Second Amendment rights. (Just to clarify something, I think people should be able to have their guns in their homes, ie. married student housing, ect. However, I'm not so sure about the residence halls and around campus on a daily basis.)

Well, then say YES to capital punishment and enforcement of more stringent laws for people who commit murder, rape, ect.

As I read what mikejm wrote I had to sit back and laugh. Knowing him like I think I do i'm pretty sure he was just having some fun trying to lighten things up a little. In fact, if you were serious mike, I have to say i would be very, very concerned about you.

This is something I alluded to a few months ago. There are many animals that are symbolic to native americans, in one way ore another. let's see, bison, eagles, ect. look out ndsu and bc, you may find yourself in a similar situation someday.

First of all, since when did you start agreeing with PCM? Secondly, the use of a smiley emoticon would tell everyone else that is was having some fun with PCM (hell, I'm sure he picked up on it.) Thirdly, I've been right about more things than you could ever have a fantasy about, and never have I felt the need for anyone to make me feel warm and fuzzy about them.
