  1. Well, you can't help who you fall in love with now can you.
  2. Cripes! That's worse than being a patriot. My mom is originally from Mandan, I always tell her she grew up on the bad side of the Missouri.
  3. Were you a Demon or a patriot?
  4. Uhh, thanks, I think. By the way, as far as my "other friend" is concerned, neither one of us could have walked very well in any kind of shoes (including mocassin's) on Saturday night. I think Chris Berman said it best when he said "stumblin', bumblin', rumblin'....."
  5. And as a another "friend" of mine has said, this is apples to oranges. I am not a public figure of any kind, athlete, university ad, politician, ect. I am but a lowly parts salesman, my life is not intresting enough to be open to public scrutiny. But you just made me feel alot better about myself.
  6. That's the thing about opinions, they may be right or wrong. I cannot control what someone else posts or what they believe to be true, even if it is or isn't. I also try not to lose any sleep over what someone else thinks. Especially opinions expressed on an anonymous internet message board. Like I said before it's not worth stressing yourself out over it. Aside from all of that, I thought being the 'thought Police" was strictly the job of the NC$$.
  7. Since you brought it up, you get my vote for the person who gets to go ask one of them.
  8. Yes, but either or can be based on truth or non-truth, what someone chooses to believe in that is not for me to say.
  9. I don't see anything absurd about saying that it is sometimes hard to distinguish truth and non-truth on an opinion based message board. Maybe the argument is absurd to you based on the fact that we may have differing opinions on certain subjects.
  10. You're overanalyzing. All I'm saying is that in a setting like this (ie, internet message board), it is sometimes hard to prove or disprove anything. Time will usually tell who is full of s&!t and who isn't. There's no need for long drawn out analogies to explain your position, we've already done that. I'm only saying the line between truth and innuedo, ect. gets blurred on a forum like this.
  11. It would seem to me that proving something is rumor, gossip or innuendo is just as hard as proving something to be true on an OPINION based message board. That goes for any subject, not just the one currently being debated. Just wanted to clarify that.
  12. In the end it all come's down to what I think versus what you think. My opinion versus your's, based on the fact's that each of us have available to us, but still two seperate opinion's. I'm sorry so many people take these opinion's so seriously. I also have a hard time understanding why one character assasination is justifiable in people's mind's (brian Lee), while another is not (buning.) They are/were both public figures and therefore subject public to scrutiny, right? However, I understand that this is how I (or someone else) may feel versus how other's may feel, and I am OK with that. I'm not here to change people's perception's or opinion's, only to add mine to the discussion.
  13. Awesome, St louis is building a hell of a team, congrat's Chris, hope to see you in the show.
  14. Well, they are both smear campaigns and character assasinations, are they not? They are both based upon people's perception's (or opinion's,) of someone's performance. The difference is, one is an athlete while the other an administrator, but still, both are expected to "perform at a certain level." Or am I way off base here? Keep in mind, a message board is what it is, a compilation of many people's "opinion's," and some fact's sprinkled in there every now and then.
  15. I find it a little ironic that Brian Lee was drug through the mud for two years on this board, and didn't have half the sympathy that buning seems to get from people, when basically the same thing is happening to him (buning.) Just an observation, and I'll say no more.
  16. W is a great face off man, and passes well, but I don't think his vision and knack for distributing the puck are equal to Osh's. TJ's abilties lie in being able to put the puck on someone's tape when you think there is no way it even seems possible. Not to mention his never say quit attitude on the puck. Watch the tape of the West Regional game against mich when he was along the boards and made the pass to Zajac, which he buried (remember Tj was sprawled out and swatted the puck to Travis.) Or that pass across the crease last year when he was sliding "Ovechkin style" and swatted the puck over to Duncan I think it was. Not taking anything away from W's game, I guess I'm just saying Osh has a certain knack for making the dramatic plays, that seem almost impossible at times. Also, TJ played on the wing for about 1 1/2 of his first 2 seasons here, so we haven't really seen his puck distribution skills in full effect yet. Again, I think W is awesome and wherever he plays he will produce.
  17. I thought he said LA also, but I'm not real sure.
  18. Oh no... here we go again.
  19. Who did you golf with?
  20. Having immediate impact freshman players like Osh, Duncs, Chorney, Toews, is really the exception and not the rule. Not every recruiting class will have freshman make that kind of impact, that's just reality. If some of them should have an outstanding first year, that's great, but certainly not expected.
  21. That doesn't mean it isn't going to suck.
  22. After this season, we may be shedding some tears of our own. I see Osh, Chorney, Finley, possibly Duncs, plus our seniors (Lammy, Kaip, Radke, am I forgetting anyone?) going. The offseason next year may be unkind if you are a Sioux fan. Oh yeah, I forgot Bina, that may be 8 players gone, if no one else leaves unexpectadly. That's going to suck.
  23. You guys can keep beatin' the drum for your boy buning all you want, ok. I still say there are problems in the AD's office, deny and defend all you want.
