It happens, and it's not as rare as everyone thinks it is We dropped 7 of 8 games in one stretch last year. Not to mention being swept by St. Cloud, and Maine at other times during the last two years. I'm sure there are others I can't recall.

What about denver at the goophs?

I was pissed after saturday's loss too, but this is bull$%!#. I will agree on a couple things, one is learning to play both night's of a two game series. The other is, after the first power play unit, there isn't much else. They just have to find the right mix of players for that second pp unit, which I'm confident they will, hopefully sooner than later. I thought that the Kaip-Watkins-Frattin line might have been the best all weekend. They contributed to the scoring (both nights) and friday shut down CC's top line. There are good things down the road for this team, they just need to stay focused and take it one game at a time. Just be glad you are not a goopher fan, that team has bigger problems than the Sioux do at this point.

Hey man, that guy was posting smack, if you're going to dish it out you better be ready to take some back. Calling bc weak, I hate bc too, but they are not weak. They may have a !@#!$ facility, but I would bet they will be in the NCAA tourney field this year again. I'm not so sure I could say that about tech.

The Sioux vs bc was "the game of the week" on CSTV for collge hockey last week (although the game was a bust due to !@#!$ conditions.) Until I see the ndsu bison vs. (insert name of big time collge football program here) as the game of the week on national tv, I simply won't buy into this bull$%!# about which program is #1. (I say this realizing that football in general is a sport with a much bigger fan base.)

That may be true (for D1AA football,) but not specifically for the bison though. I mean, the bison are just another team in D1AA (who have had some succes against bottom feeder single A programs like minny.) However, the Sioux hockey team is an ELITE program within D1 hockey.

I'm from the western part of ND, and there are as many Sioux hockey fans out there as there are bison football fans. Not to mention that many of those people who are bison football fans also follow the Sioux hockey team.

I have to admit I was happy the bison beat the goophs, and I was cheering for them. However to say they are the premier program in the state is a tidy bit of fiction at best. It's simply laughable to even say it.

In the same league? If you say NDSu's football program is in the same league as a 7 time NCAA Division 1 Champion and stepping stone to professional hockey for dozens and dozens of athletes, you need some help. Objective or not, your facts just don't add up.

I wouldn't bet on that! If you weren't hot why would people be snapping candid photos of you and posting them on the internet?

Yeah, if Hak can find "the winning combination" in those three games and under those circumstances, I'm putting in a call to him for some lottery numbers.

Kind of tough to work out line combos/chemistry when: 1. we've played all of three games. 2. in the first of those three games we lost a top line center to a CFB penalty, so the lines had to be juggled. 3. in the second of those three games we only played two periods and lost a third/fourth line forward to an injury, and juggled lines again. So establishing any sort of chemistry in three games with those circumstances is a futile effort at best I would say.

Who cares if it was humid in Boston. There is absolutely no excuse for s&!t like this. Let's get down to the bottom line, bc's arena is a pile of crap. Cripes they play hockey in Texas, New Mexico, LA, Florida, and some of those places are hot and humid and you sure don't hear of problems likes this. I could see if it was the first time it happened, but it's happened three times and twice in the last year. This is a big load of horseshit. Hey nc$$ instead of worrying about nicknames, maybe you should make sure that these games are being played and completed like they should be.

I'm looking for tickets for this series, uppper/lower bowl doesn't matter. Any tickets for either game at the Ralph. Please PM if you have any (after you finnish laughing that is.)

My take on last night. Cudos to Jean-Phillipe turning in a solid effort last night under horseshit conditions. We are going to be just fine with him in the pipes. I thought Vandy was probably the best player on the ice for either team last night. I may be a little slow, but I finally figured out why gerbe gets all those one on zero and one on one situations, he's nothing more than a yappy little cherry picker. Let's be honest, I wouldn't be running off at the mouth the embarrassing way you play the game there kid. You see what happened to him when he went down below the dots where the men play the game, he was totally ineffective. Now to petricki or whatever his name is. His hit on Watkins was far more vicious than TJ's on abdelkader. Kaip only did what he had to do, and then getting a double minor for that was bull$%!#. A hit like that from behind, and to the head is just as dangerous as any other hit from behind, maybe even more dangerous. Our first line looked like they struggled a bit. Kozek had another solid effort, we need that, keep up the good work Andy. We need to take better care of the puck when trying to advance it up the ice, to many sloppy passes coming out of our end and in the neutral zone. It sucks we lost Malone, hope his recovery is quick and he is 100% soon, we need the physical presence he brings. I din't think it was a bad effort considering the Bush League conditions both teams were up against. I can't fault the bc players, as I'm sure it is an embarrassment for them. However, the powers that be in their organization should be ashamed of themselves. That's two black eye's on national tv in less than a year. Somebody out their please pull your head out of your ass and rectify this situation. How about doug flutie, why don't you open up your wallet to your beloved bc and get them the new "Flutie Arena." Total bush league. Oh well, put it behind us and move on and kick Northeastern's ass tonight.

Yeah, Johnny's goal was awesome. Hello, wcha, ncaa, whoever, please take note. You could see these types of plays at the college level if the games were officiated correctly. In the NHL, skilled players are allowed to be just that. The officials calling the game the way it should be has opened the game up for players like Johnny. I wish our league could get their s&!t together so the quality of the college game could get to that level. Congrats John, keep up the good work.

My inside sources are indicating he was setting a bad example by not scoring enough (with hockey groupies that is.) I guess hot oil wrestling is not only fun but it is thereputic as well.

I still hate the goophs! Reality is that injuries are part of sports, but I wouldn't ever wish an injury on any elite athlete.

I have to agree, you hate to see an injury take out an elite player....on any team. Here's hoping Ryan has a speedy and full recovery. As much as I hate to see that guy standing in front of a Sioux goalie we all would take a player like him on our team. Plus, I love to play minny when there is alot on the line and both teams are 100% (or as close to that as you can be) healthy.
