  1. 5-3 BU over UMass with 16:00 left in the 3rd.
  2. I need just one, but will take 2 if you have a pair available for Saturday's CC game. Please call or text me at 701-230-3225 or email me at breswen@hotmail.com Thanks, Brenda
  3. We stay at the Hilton and walk, but always end up going to a house party between games one of the days. We pile 5-6 of us into a cab. I thought the cabs were really reasonable in the cities. Much better/cheaper than a DUI. And hotels away from downtown always seem to be less expensive, so it might be a wash if you have to go that way. It IS fun to be downtown though.
  4. According to CHN, it is for his leg breaking hit on LaPoint. College Hockey News
  5. Email me at breswen@hotmail.com if you want to part with your Frozen Four tickets for 2009 in Washington DC. Thanks!
  6. Hehe, that is what it reminded me of too!
  7. And I believe that I have your autograph, sir.
  8. Sure we are like that towards the American Flag. But have you ever watched the Canadian people at a sporting event with their national flag? They wear it like a cape, they drag it around, they paint it on their faces; you get the point, its all over the place. We are just brought up with a different kind of respect for a symbol. Sometimes I wish we had that kind of enthusiasm, but we are taught at an early age that the flag is almost sacred.

    Jerseys

They wore the block logo until they moved to the new Ralph. I think that was 2000-01. How soon we forget!
  10. From Sunday April 13 Star Tribune (What Sid Hartman has to say) New Wild owner is drawing praise
  11. When does the Sioux team go to Alaska Anchorage? I want to make the trip to Alaska! I hear the skiing is great at Alyeska.
  12. The jumbotron kept telling us to let them know what we would like at the NCAA tournaments, so here is a link to the survey. Your Opinion Counts Here is your chance. You can write a paragraph toward the end of the survey. Let them know what you think! Do you think they will actually listen? After all they are god the NCAA.
  13. Yes, we did take note that you were positive. I was almost feeling like a freak because I still liked the Sioux. I think people are starting to come around.
  14. 4 Frozen Fours and they still cannot spell North Dakota right! Did anyone else see the green t-shirts that said "North Dakoka" on them?
  15. Hehe. That was perfect. I am really tired of the bitching going on here since our last game of the season. Our entertainment in our room at Denver each night was to log in to ss.com and read to the group of 8-10 in our room all the whinning going on here. I hope some of you have begun to realize how silly you sounded and pick up your chin and get a better attitude. I used to think Sioux fans were so loyal, but after this weekend, I saw another side of our faithful. It was uglier than that game on Thursday.
  16. Yes, we have plans to go. The lottery deadline for the Frozen Four is June 1, 2008. There is a 10 page application at 2009 Frozen Four Lottery Application. We have applied 4 years in a row and gotten tickets every time. The more years you apply, the better your seats get. I tried to book hotel rooms, but they don't take room reservations that far in advance. I will try again in a month. The Cherry Blossum Festival is being held there at the same time as the tournament, so rooms may be hard to get. You can also wait and scramble and get tickets from scalpers, etc., but I like to know that I have the tickets and make plans ahead of time. You can always sell them if you are unable to go. We have been VERY LUCKY that our team has been in the Frozen Four each time we have gone. It is getting to the point that we see some of the same fans over and over.
  17. Gerbe had a fantastic weekend. He was fast fast fast and everything clicked for him this weekend. BC deserved to win the NC. Now it is our turn to build a team again and go at it. That's hockey.

    ND vs BC

We sat between a bunch of BC fans. There was a lady (55+) sitting next to us that slept through most of the game. Her husband woke her up to tell her the game was almost over and he thought they might win. There was so little reaction from those people after winning the national championship that I was stunned. I don't know if they just expected it so much, or if it really just did not matter that much to them. It felt odd. The Sioux fans would have exploded in that situation!
  19. Sure, the loss was disappointing, but I am still in Denver and going to the championship game to represent North Dakota as a fan. I am so proud of our team! Wherever we have gone today (even up in Keystone) we have gotten nothing but great compliments on what a nice bunch of players we have on our team. People were EXCITED that our players were so open to talk and sign things for them this week. One guy on the shuttle said he got to meet a Hobey Baker winner in Ryan Duncan and said, "What a nice young man that Duncan is." One of the city ambassadors said he was sorry we lost and sorry to see the team go home. That's what you go to the Frozen Four for. Thank you Sioux team, coaches, band, and cheer team. You all represted us so well! I am proud to be a Sioux fan this week.
  20. We left Devils Lake at 7PM. Drove all night. Had breakfast in Cheyenne, WY and got into Denver at about 10:30AM. It looks like we are in the hotel that Michigan is staying in. We found our rooms and had a nap. Now we are ready to go. We missed the practice; the nap sounded better at the time. The roads were good, but people all along the route were telling us a spring storm was coming. It was pretty foggy in Wyoming and that slowed us down a bit. I hit one pheasant and we dodged 2 or 3 deer.
  21. I have all three games. I made DVD's and mailed them to our buddy in Grand Forks who did not see it.
  22. I am admiring the hockey stick my girlfriend from high school gave me at the Final Five this year because no one in her family really wanted it. She didn't know who signed it because it has been sitting in a closet at her mom's house for a long time. Well, I looked at it and picked out the names. It is a 1980 stick signed by the whole NCAA Championship Sioux team in 1980. Some names on it that I recognized right away were Cary Eades, Marc Chorney, and "Pete" Lamoureux. Pretty cool! Thank you friend!!!
  23. We are driving from Devils Lake. Leaving Tuesday after work and going as far as we can before we crash somewhere. Six adults in a Toyota (I think) van, thanks to a local car dealer! We are still discussing the route, but most likely via 85. See you in 910 miles.
