This is our 4th Frozen Four in a row. While we always got our tickets through the lottery we did notice that... In Columbus people were selling tickets just before the championship game for $5 each. The closer you got to the door, the cheaper the tickets were. In Milwaukee we did not see alot of tickets being sold outside the arena but were asked if we would sell ours to the championship game by a family of four. We didn't go to the arena very early so that might have been the reason we didn't see sellers. In St. Louis there were people all over trying to get rid of tickets. One or two on each street corner around the arena. I think I saw a sign that they were asking $12 each game. I know it would feel good to have the tickets in hand before you left, but I really don't think it will be a problem getting tickets. I wouldn't pay anything over cost (except for shipping). Especially without Denver or CC there. How many Denver folks were in Madison last weekend? I think that shows the interest, or lack of, they have. So tickets will be there. Those that are being sold for $500 + are just trying to make up for the ones they are going to dump outside the doors. Don't worry about sections. Just get in. Like I said, the only full championship game we have been to was the one in Milwaukee.. right in Wisconsin with W in it.. winning it. That's the only reason it was full; that and the fact that Wisconsin fans are more faithful than Devner or CC fans, IMHO.

I got tickets from a reader of uscho.com a couple of weeks ago. I just put my phone number on their ticket thread and a wonderful lady from Maine called me one day and told me she wanted the Sioux to win since Maine was out. They still remember the wonderful thing the team did for Coach Walsh a few years back. I got the tickets for cost and the shipping charges (in the bottom bowl!). She called me, to wish us luck at the Frozen Four, tonight after the win. I think that's pretty cool.

Being a fan of Slapshot.. I loved the piece they had on Christian Hanson. We had a good laugh. I need to dig out that DVD again.

"Slingbox" would have been the way to go for those who couldn't get the games on TV. Just set it up with a friend who has DirecTV or Dish and you would have been good to go. We use them at work all the time and they are easy to set up and use.

The other region will be on that feed after the lacrosse game is over. It only has about a minute left.

Anyone who has NDTC TV in Devils Lake, McVille, Pekin, or Tolna will also be able to view the games as they have ESPNU Channel 35 in the complete package. FSN is on Channel 31. So find a friend who has IPTV in Devils Lake.

Oh yeah.. I saw you in the lobby. I recognized the "Diggler" on your jersey. It is weird to know people, but not know them. And you would have wondered who the crazy woman was who talked to you since I hardly ever post. I am more of a reader.

From now on you should get a letter from the WCHA or the Xcel (I forget) asking you to renew sometime in the fall. If you do renew, you get the same seats as you had this year. We sit in the same place year after year. Then the Xcel sends you an envelope with your tickets before the tournament and normally some junk.. this year the junk was the DVD announcing that next year we will get a DVD. If you liked your seats this year, you should send in the renewal. We had forgotten to renew ours, but we still got our same old seats even though we were late. We like the Goofer fans we sit in front of. Other Goofer fans around us look at us funny like they wonder why we are having fun. Heh.

Yes, the Great Water Brewery on the main floor of the Hamms building. They do serve food and beverages upstairs where the Sioux Party is though. Usually hotdogs, beans, and chips. You pay when you go in and they give you pom poms and tickets. Then they have drawings for Sioux stuff during the party. It's nice to go to it and support the team.
