I don't like the earlier times. For at home watching on TV, I know my son likes to get his 3 daughters (ages 7, 4, and 2) in bed so he can watch a majority of the game in peace.

Yes. I find the last few years (5?) very boring to watch. When I compare to 20-25 years ago, it's way different.
