Holden and Starman are obviously UND fans. Like us, they've been accustomed to UND's struggle in the Frozen Faceoff. So in their excitement there was some revisionist history.

First NCHC tournament semifinal win*. UND beat WMU in the consolation game the first year of play. But i fully agree! ------ What a full team effort! As @burd would say, full 60 minutes of hockey. Denver is freaking good and the game definitely felt like playoff hockey. I've said it before but man, Jim Montgomery is a classy coach. Still hate Denver though.

Would Hak era teams been as consistently good as they were each year if there were one or two national championships won?

Each weekend, I keep hoping UND will figure it out and like every weekend, I end up disappointed.

Yep. Blown opportunity. Not surprising. Also, Berry, maybe pull Cam when UND was in the offensive zone applying heavy pressure when Jost, Boeser were out there instead of waiting.
