Very hard pass. UND fans will know and remember this season. Don’t need some nonsense banner to remind us as this is something we will all remember and reflect on what could’ve been. Penrose Cup is the only banner that should be hung.

Spring sports, makes sense. Don’t know how it’d work for winter sports when essentially almost the entire season had been played. Granted, they are missing out on the tournament which is pretty damn big part to miss out on due to outside impact. I know the logistics of it wouldn’t be easy but it would’ve been better if the NCAA postponed the tournament indefinitely to leave some wiggle room as well as hope. Perfect opportunity to try campus hosted regionals again? Maybe instead of 4 regionals, do a East and West super regionals? As long as the NHL and all other hockey leagues are suspended, the players have no where to leave for.

I do agree. Didn’t Denver do similar thing with Matthew Savoie and the kid still ended up going to the CHL? Would be an amazing get but I don’t think anything will come of this.

The chances of getting him doesn’t seem very high when he left one team to go play on the same team as his older brother, who is a Michigan commit.

I think the thread is tongue in cheek and more so for coping purposes in regards to what happened. Don’t think anyone is actually being 100% serious....you do you though. Everyone reacts in different ways.

Saying this way too soon and not because of the result of a game... A small silver lining is that this 2019-2020 UND hockey team did win some hardware at least. Obviously not the ultimate prize but still an achievement. I just wanted to say thank you seniors for making it a mission to turn the fortunes of the program around. You were successful! Still feels surreal....I’ll probably add more later.

As it becomes more and more likely that the season is over....I am sad. I can understand but still feel bad for all student-athletes. We will look back on this season and think what if.

I am getting that distinct feeling as well. I certainly hope not but understand hard decisions will have to be made for the safety of the public.

So with the recent announcement from the NCAA in regards to COVID-19, I'm guessing brackets should be pretty straight forward considering "moving teams for attendance" is now moot. Only gotta worry about first round intraconference matchups.

Thome has been solid overall in each game he’s played so far. Berry should have let Thome start until he had a bad game like Scheel. He has been just as good as Scheel if not better.

Yep, agreed. Duluth would certainly deserve it. I mean they’ve kept themselves within distance while UND struggled at SUCS and now at Omaha.

UND would’ve had to have gone undefeated after Christmas this year to do better than before Christmas...I don’t think that was realistic...

If you let Scheel start in net after Thome put in a solid performance despite 2-1 loss, don’t see how you can’t give the nod to Thome for tomorrow.
