I'd say "fortunately," I was too young in 97-98 to remember that. Dating myself here but I was 9 years old . Didn't starting following UND hockey avidly until I was a freshman in high school.

Honestly, all those years prior of getting bounced out of the tournament by BC desensitized me so when this happened, it was just another moment of disappointment that UND fans would keep on experiencing until 2016. Still, **** Michigan! For me, the regional final game losing 1-0 against Denver in 03-04 is the one I’ll never really get over. That year, even more than 2016, I believed was destined to win it all.

Well it would’ve been nice if DU and UMD had split to keep them both further behind UND in points. Duluth is good and seems to be getting it together at the right time. And of course, UND gets to see a mad DU team in 2 weeks.

Hopefully Kiersted and Hain get healed up and will be ready to go after UND’s bye weekend.

Didn’t expect a low scoring defensive game but UND found a way to get the W. Definitely liked the team’s overall defensive effort tonight. Gotta be happy for Thome on getting the shutout. Has been #2 for long stretches but has stuck with it and has taken advantage of the opportunities that he has been given.

Funny is college hockey. Duluth only scored 1 goal last weekend against St. Cloud and hang 7 on UND in the first game of the series.

Well, maybe getting routed will wake the boys up rest of season.
