  1. 0.6 seconds. You called me out with that 7-2 comment.
  2. This Gopher fan is still hoping for a first round match up against the Sioux, but I don't think it is in the cards.
  3. You out played us. We out scored you. That's hockey some nights. No shame in your game tonight. go Gophers.
  4. I hate all of you. I hate you all deep down in my heart. I hate every thing the UND program represents. I hate your jersey, school, colors, rink, coach, players, history and cheers. But I'm so happy to be able to meet up against you in the frozen four. The season seemed incomplete without a UM/UND matchup. Here's to a great game. I hope it's one for the history books. This rivalry rarely disappoints. Go Gophers.
  5. Good season. Good rivalry. We'll see you down the road.
  6. NCAA took your name, but they are trying to give you this game.
  7. While I never want to see a Sioux jersey, it would be kick ass if you put them on for the third period.
  8. Fantastic play by both teams. Great period to watch.
  9. Before the battle and hostility begins, let me say I hope the better teams wins today. No fluke goals or garbage calls. Just good, fast , hard hockey. GO GOPHERS.
  10. I love the arguments of who takes the cheapest shots. Recently, UND has been more physical, so they've dished out more abuse (fair and cheap), but I don;t blame them. The Gophers don;t try to play a more noble style. We'll take our shots when we get the chance. This is a heated rivalry.
  11. If you take away the taunts, you take away half the fun. As a Gopher Fan, I'd be offended if I did not hear the Holy Cross cheer. Yes it's dated, but it's in the spirit of the rivalry to bring up old wounds. Besides, I got thick skin and Gopher Pride to protect me.
  12. Hate week is an excellent phrase. Here's how my hate week rolls. On Monday, I hate the Sioux, but tend to be respectful. On tuesday, I really hate the Sioux and fight the urge to get into online arguments. On Wednesday I despise the Sioux and will probably make a cheap shot comment. On Thursday I think all Sioux fans are assholes and I'll end up making an equally asshole statement. On Friday and Saturday, I enjoy my favorite rivalry in all of hockey. Come Sunday, I'll either lick my wounds or smile for the coming week.
  13. The Gophers are not just playing better than they have in years, they are also more physical that they have been in years. I'm hoping we pay you guys back for the last few years of abuse. It would be nice to knock the team to be named later around for a change. The Gophers have issues, defense being number one. We are a long ways away from being a top team. Still, the gold is shinning bright this season. Here's to beating the rival I hate the most (and will miss the most next season).
  14. Congrats on the sweep. You guys gave the Gophers a beating the likes of which I have not seen in a long, long time. I only wish the Gophers would have showed up this weekend. That weekend was no indicator of either team's talent. I'm not what sure what it was. But a sweep is a sweep. Nicely done.
  15. autograph my sioux jersey?
  16. Not yet, just followed a couple games on these boards. It's sounded ugly, but I refuse to believe a Sioux team lacks talent until I see it for myself. Maybe it's true though. The Gophers sure lacked their normal puck skills the last couple of seasons.
  17. What's it say about Sioux hockey when the near majority of posts in this thread are about fights? In Minnesota, we like hockey more than boxing. I want a physical series, but I'm more interested in seeing back and forth action with CLEAN hits, crisp passes, speed and one timers.
  18. Best college hockey rivalry at the second best college hockey arena. I love this weekend. I'd like to say a Gopher sweep, but I see a Gopher win Friday with a tie on Saturday. I only wish the Sioux had a better team this year (although your season is far from over). It's more fun to beat a good Sioux team than a so-so one.
  19. It's a long season, let it play out. As a Gopher fan, I'm not counting the Sioux out of contention. But it is nice to see you 0-2 than 2-0.
  20. It was a bad year for the WCHA. A bad YEAR. Not a bad decade. Our talent pool was way down this season. Very few pure skaters/passers/scorers. I don;t think we need to fear the other leagues yet. they have improved. I knew all year CCHA was much better at the top (watched games on CSTV and other places). I like the WCHA style. I think the WCHA will remain the best conference in college hockey. But we took some lumps this year.
  21. Wow, if you want to throw down, I might remind you to check who has won titles more recently, and last time I checked, buffalo was not in Minnesota. So, can he talk to you now.
  22. You run a damn good blog, even for a Sioux fan , see you around next season. Go Gophers.
  23. I don't think Hak should be fired, but as I said in another thread, he could be the Denny Green of college hockey. there are some coaches who just can;t ever seem to get it done. Sure, there are always reasons, but other coaches find ways to get around and overcome those reasons. Hak has not done that yet. He's got a big old monkey on his back now, that only makes things harder.
  24. Not piling on, honest, but is hakstol the Denny Green of College Hockey? What good is a great ride if you end up choking at the end every season? At some point you have to ask if he can get the job done. By the way, I say choke, not out of disrespect, but truth. It's what has happend at the end of each season under Hak.
  25. Those kids make me proud! True fans never abandon our beloved GOPHERS!
