  1. As I said, I never proof my typing. Guilty as charged every time.
  2. Oh, I can get into usage rules with the best of them. Care to talk affect vs. effect, or lets get into AP style and punction guidlines. The proper uses of the hyphen verus dashes can be real fun
  3. I agree. Let's drop the puck.
  4. Spelling on message boards is not my strong suit. I never proof what I type. Oddly enough, I get paid to write. Life is funny that way.
  5. I agree, the college game is called tight, but everyone knows it, accept the UND players. The refs are calling their physical play as penaltys. they need to adjust their paly or suffer the reusslts. The refs are not going to change their style.
  6. I read it as "over agressive" which is very different from cheap in my opinion. What happend to Bina was cheap, what Bertuzzi did was cheap. What UND does is retaliate and get called for it. Thier realtion's are not hack jobs, just a bit too physical but well withn the accepted practices of the game.
  7. He never said UND was cheap. He implied they are physical, and take a lot of penalties becuase of it, which is true. The Penalty minutes don't lie. As for Harrington being cheap, he most definatley is. I've wanted him bench since early in the season. He is our worst defenseman on the ice. Consistantly getting bad penaltys, consistantly out of position and consistantly beat one on one. I will say this, he did play very well in the Regionals.
  8. How on earth is that bulletin board material? Yeah, that quote would really get me worked up if an opponent said it. He's right too, if we paly smart hockey, the gophers should enjoy a clear advantage in our number of power plays. UND has been winning as of late, but also racking up a ton of penalty minutes.
  9. I have to admit, I do find it good reading at times. GOD BLESS POI, you will always be loved.
  10. This board works come Thursday . It would make easy work for the Gophers than.
  11. As a gopher fan, I'm not embarrassed by his behavior one bit. And the Program wa snot shamed in the least bit. You're reaching for straws here. The kid did something dumb, not shamefull or disrespectful. the only person it made look bad was himself. And in the grand scheme of things, it wasn;t even taht bad. Like I said, it was stupid more than anything.

    Good luck

Just not too good of luck (Go Gophers). This week can't go by fast enough. Can't wait for Thursday and a couple of classic hockey match-ups. GO WCHA!
  13. Not that any of you care, but feel free to rip Hirsch now. He met with the media, offered no explanation and is playing again. I sort of thought he owed some form of explanation since it was such a public dispaly. I still love the kid, but can't get mad when people razz him anymore.
  14. Untill we know what was behind Hirsch's actions, I wouldn't make fun of it. IF the kid did have a breakdown, that's nothing to poke fun at.
  15. As a Gopher fan, I have to say "Pried off Ice" is pretty funny.
  16. Fair enough. I apologize for the Sue refferance. And congratulate you and a far better than expected season. Who would of thought we'd be facing off in the frozen four, not me (and that go for both teams). As for the Gophers, I thought we were one year away.
  17. Okay, First off, I never said anything bad about you guys other than calling you Sue, much like you call us Rodents. get over it. Second, I'm not some 18 year old punk. My days watching the Gophers go back to 70's, not to mention being a season ticket holder. As for logging on today for the first time, yes I did, but not to piss anyone, just to see what was up and have a little fun. Get over yourselves.
  18. Okay, lets talk about two of the last three national titles? Come on guys, I'm not saying the Sue have no shot, but it's not a cake walk for them, nor the gophers. i think the intensity will be excellent, but the "x" factors fall in favor of the Gophers. Your best chances are physical play and a better goal tender.
  19. Classy shot at Hirsh. You're a great fan. I'm sure the Sioux are proud to have you in their stands.
  20. Congrats Sue, you've made it much farther than anyone guessed at mid-season. But it's time for a reality check. The one factor no one on this board has mentioned is experince. Gophers have played in two of the last three frozen fours, the Sue, zilch, as in no players with frozen four experince. I agree, the team that comes out storngest will win big, but I see the Sue havbing the jitters and The Gophs taking things in stride. Also, we're battle tested with two overtime vicotires. The sue coasted in rounds one and two. I think we may be mentally better preparied to grind and fight out every minute. GO GOPHERS! Here's to THE WCHA!
