I do, look at NDSU's #'s from this year.

I think the buffalo will win out and should as it is more of an ND thing then geese. I guess the geese represent ND though as they are only here for part of the year and then when it gets too cold they head south like a lot of our population.

I found it quite funny in the AP release that they had to put the label next to each one "Buffalo" and "Geese" Like we couldn't tell what they were.

Hate to see him go, but I'ld love to see him get the job.

What are you talking about? They just left D-II if they wanted to be just like us they would have stayed and added hockey? Doesn't make sense

I totally disagree. There is no reason for NDSU to pursue hockey at this point. They have all their money in their D1 transition and it would be silly for them to consider adding hockey. Just because they would have a nice arena in town does not mean they should add hockey. They would then have to add women's hockey also and they would really be stretching their funds. (they are still trying to add more schollies for their other sports) I would argue that the b-ball teams will not use this facility either. They announced an $8mm dollar plan on upgrading the BSA (not enough but it's a start) and they can always move their games to the Dome. I don't think that they would be hiding it from the city and then after it is passed come out and shock everyone with an announcement, as that would turn many more people against 'SU. I may be wrong but that is my guess.

I think probably because he retired? That's the same thing I was thinking though when I read it.

Sioux-CIA, I guess what I'm trying to say is that there are a lot of people in GF who realize the Rose Bowl is a lot bigger deal then Sioux games. Sure, I loved going to the NC game in Alabama a few years ago and watching some of my friends win a championship, but the Rose Bowl is much bigger then anything UND athletics has ever participated in. I don't think you can argue that, whether you think it is boring or not, it is much, much bigger, and many more people care about it then have probably ever heard of the UND Fighting Sioux. That was my point, not how many friends I have or how many trips you've taken in your life.

You obviously didn't live anywhere near Pasadena. That's true though that if you don't want to meet those kinds of people you won't! I just like everyone so I meet alot of people, people who like hockey, football, basketball, nascar, what-have-you.

Sounds like a pretty exciting year, but you're exactly right, you are not going to meet GF people that care about the Rose Bowl in those places!

First off, I would't go saying things about him like he holds "Sports heros" over soldiers as I assume you have no idea how he feels about this. Secondly, I know thousands of people from GF that would disagree with you about the Rose Bowl. That one just doesn't make much sense to me.

I think the problem is with the land surrounding the Alerus. There was a story in the paper a few years back that broke down who owned what land. These people are sitting on the land (I know a couple of them) and holding out so either the state (interstate ramps etc.) or the city (parking or frontage type roads) will pay them boat loads to get it. I'm not sure if that is still the problem although I know a few are still holding out for more $$. The land across 42nd (the field you park in) is owned by Crary (Crary Real Estate). They are making a good deal of money leaving it unpaved and selling parking for events. Hussey (of EGF) owns some of the land out there too and is holding out for a big pay check.

What made you want to bash ND? Are there a lot of ND people there that feel the same way?

I believe they do offer some sort of a discount. On your application they ask if either of your parents are employees at the school. Not positive though?
