Last nights game is one to forget. The Sioux were outplayed, and won, but the pendulum swings in both directions as there were a few games this year that the Sioux have played very well, but lost. I'm sure we will see a much better effort tonight. Stephen Anderson of the MIning Gazette wrote a fairly neutral article, and summed up the game succinctly, quoting Tech's head coach "We have to keep our cool, but our guys fought hard". http://www.mininggazette.com/page/content.detail/id/529227/Heated-Huskies-down-1-0.html?nav=5009 And speaking of keeping their cool, does anyone know if Petran is playing tonight? After slashing Knight 3X, and then throwing a couple of jabs at Kristo AND on top of that, evidently going after one of the linesman. Personally, I'd be surprised if the WCHA doesn't suspend him for 1 game, but then again, not much surprises me anymore with the WCHA.

Considering how the other games are going...and this one...I'd like a win...but I would settle for a tie. ( but a win would be better)

Thought they played well in the 1st. Surprised w/ just the 5 shots, but the controlled the puck for the most point. Strong 2nd period is all we need

Down for me as well...might as well get used to this, as it's the only way we'll be able to watch the games next year.

So...out of the last 3 series...and a possible 12 points...and 2 home series...the Sioux get 4 points..not good...not good at all...must be an El Niño year (because I can't figure it out)...welcome to hitting rock bottom

The puck went by 3sioux players w/ kristo having the best chance to clear it...but it looked like they just sat and watched the puck...lazy.

It does answer the question...just not to your liking. I'm only pointing out what everyone else also has observed...is that the defense is playing very un-Sioux like compared to what we have seen in the past. By your own addmition, you also agree that it could take 4months" or longer for the team to play good defense"......because in the past our teams were defined by excellent defense and taking the fight to the other team....not playing on your heels for 3 periods

Without Eades this year...definately something missing this year amongst the coaching as the defense has been very painful to watch

At the game right now. Really sloppy power play...no passing, just a lot of one on one and no patience. Kristo is playing great though. Cmon Sioux...we have to have this game

Yesterday's game was by far one of the poorest defensive games I've seen by a Sioux team in a very long time. Offensively the team has amazing skills, particularly the top line; however without defense setting up the offense, the team struggled to get the puck out of our own zone. Yesterday was yesterday, so hopefully we will see a return to the team we know that is capable of playing solid hockey on both ends of the ice.

Too bad for this sioux team that has had to battle hard all year...unfortunately another loss in the NCAA for Hak...but didn't expect they would get this far. Hopefully Nelson and Kristo return, but we'll have to wait and see.
