We should take a page out of their book. Play your best hockey at the end of the season and not in the beginning or middle. Conference championships are nice, but that's about it. UND will get in. But they're not playing desperate.

Duluth and denver have really never put much into season titles, other than positioning themselves near the top. All they want is enter into the playoffs, and NCAA titles. They both rule in the frozen four. This game is a warmup from UMD. Not that UND needs it to get in, but they certainly don't want to get embarrassed.

I don't understand the mentality of the across the ice passing in your own defensive end. There doing this with 2-3 SC players in the passing zone. Instead of playing it up the boards, they are poking it to the opposition. Way to many turnovers. Playing gradescool defense.

Nah. Just a lot of sticks in the shooting and passing lanes. Good defense by Denver. We're controlling the game, so hopefully we'll get one soon.

Agreed. I waited to post anything for a while as I reserved my opinion to "wait and see" what happens the year. I'm one of many who had their doubts on Dane, but he has my vote for the NCHC coach of the year. A complete turn around from the former regime. As you stated, this team has come together and were no longer hearing about guys partying it up on the weekends, being a locker room cancer, and looking lost on the ice. Definitely a different team and one that is fun to watch (and I haven't said that in a LONG time). Thanks Dane (now go kick their a$$ again tonight)

Wow. Chavez really went hard on the interview trail. So vanilla of a choice. Not knocking Dane, but if build a house and it's declared condemned, why would you use the #2 in charge of the same company to rebuild you another house, and expect something different.

Offensive output has been a huge problem for the sioux for some time now. I first noticed it in Las Vegas when we played Arizona State and we hade something like about seven total shots going into the third... We can't rely on the offensive scheme we did 20 years ago. Changes are needed!

One of the Achilles for this team is the turnovers in the defensive zone. Clear the damn puck past the blue line, and then worry about the next play. Down 0-1, due to a turnover that led to that goal.

In watching this game, what have you seen that has garnered positivity for this hockey team.? Other than our goalie playing pretty well, all considering, not a whole lot to cheer about. Not a Debbie Downer, but a realist of how this season has played out. Doesn't make us a bad fans, but disappointed fans with how the season has gone.
