  1. This is certainly NOT how you want to play going into a final elimination tournament. I feel sorry for the Sioux fans who spent all that money traveling to MSP for the weekend. I hope we see a different team tomorrow and more importantly next weekend.
  2. So any body know if we drop today's game and then drop tomorrow's game, how far will we drop out of the pairwise, and the chances of being bounced out of the western regional?
  3. Saint Cloud's game plan is to keep us on the Power Play....that would be rather ingenious
  4. Were better at 5 on 5 than we are on our power play...it's been very poor over the past month
  5. WOW....the wheels just came off for North Dakota...2-1 SC
  6. Well, saw that one coming. UND's Achilles is the last minute of any period..
  7. Very excited for this weekend. Going in, I think the most feared shot in the league has to be from Brodzinski (and for obvious reasons), the best Line in Hockey is Denver's combination of Danton Heinen, Trevor Moore and Daniel Doremus and Joey LaLeggia, as they have proven to be special to watch (that line torched UND in the series in Grand Forks), the best team however goes to UND. I'm hoping that the chemistry of all 4 lines will prove to be the combination we've been looking for over the past several years. We don't have to have the best player, or line in college hockey, but we hopefully will play the best 60 minutes.
  8. 2-2 tied up
  9. not a great 1st period as CC controlled the offense for most of the period. Good to see Zane is playing...well, like Zane
  10. True, but I don't want to see us get blown out, or have some of our guys hurt. I hope Zane gets the 3rd period off.
  11. We're a better 5X5 hockey team as our power play is looking at it's worst tonight (although it's never been all that pretty all year)...hopefully we'll get this game out of the way and get prepared for next weekend.
  12. Just depends on what the injury is and type of surgery. A few possible scenarios would be a fracture of some type, and that would most likely mean that he's done for the year, as it would be a 6-8 week recovery. My gut says, based on watching the game, he sustained some type of tissue injury. If he developed a hematoma or even a type of a compartment syndrome, a surgeon would go in and drain the region and the recovery time is about 3-4 weeks. If myosotis ossificans sets in, then the recovery time is closer to 6 weeks. Given the extent of the severe blunt trauma from a Brodinzki slap shot, that is a rather real possibility. At this time however, we are just throwing around notions. I'll just pray for a speedy recovery and hope that he is able to return.
  13. Dang. This is the cardiac team...giving me a hear attack every week. I'm glad that were winning, but I'd just like us to close out a team without letting them back in. Whew!!
  14. 5 seconds left. Boys better hold it together. Win the face off, we win the game.
  15. SC pulls the goalie...essentially 5X5 for 30 more sec
  16. Don't expect to be too aggressive here, I'd expect a very soft power play
  17. even up 4X4 with a stupid penalty by SC
  18. Wow. That was a bad call...2 guys playing for the puck. Parks get's the penalty. We need to shut this power play down
  19. Looked like he had the angle, but couldn't make the save. It was either a great shot or a Zane softy
  20. !@#$
  21. so far...we've been horrible on the break away shots
  22. How could they even consider it a goal? the back line referee was calling a goal, and there was no puck in the net, but 30 feet above his head
  23. Unfortunately we have been getting out played the last period and a half
  24. Crap...C'mon boys wake up!
  25. We need to have some sustained offensive pressure
