  3. Well this game will serve as a great recruiting tool. Thanks for showing up tonight boys...
  4. Everything to play for boys....win we're in...lose and season most likely done. There starting to play tight...so hoping for a bounce to go our way.
  5. Having really poor connection. Seeing constant buffering and we have a high soled satellite connection. Any suggestions? Right now it takes 5 minutes to watch 1 minute
  6. I’m in the health care delivery system and unfortunately this year we had to change our model of "health care delivery" as now we can only provide what the insurance allows or will pay for. The statement that rich people have better insurance and better care, goes along with most any commodity (hate to use that term), but you get what you pay for. In my instance, With certain insurance providers, we only allow so much time allotted per the reimbursement rate, for better payers, they get more time. Previous to this year, we worked with patient’s regardless of their insurance, and provided each patient with equal time and services, It's unfortunate that it has come to this, but the reality is that many hosptials are also going to this philosophy, and will only treat or provide health care services "to a point". The obmacare is a very scary model of care. For those that can afford it, will be paying up 2X the premiums they are now but will get excellent health coverage, and those with the "basic" plan so to speak, will get basic care which means bare-bones and only what is deemed medically necessary treatment. What Sanford has done, was well stated by UNDhockey poster, in that administratively Sanford will reduce staff and increase the health-care provider to patient ration. Less nurses, more nurse assistants, more physician assistance, and less physicians. Increase working hours, reduce staff, reduce pay and freeze benefits. This is often the case in any hospital takeover.
  7. As a health care provider living outside of the Midwest, comparing Sanford to Walmart is a very appropriate analogy. Having watched Samford buyout the town of Fargo, and virtually eliminating all competition, ther are now the only game in town. The employees that made up Meritcare and have now merged with Samford are great, in fact some of the greatest people you will get a chance to work with; however, there employer has stiflled growth and is very much has a For-Profit agenda. Very little private practice now exists in Fargo, as Sanford either bought out the larger physician practices in town and forced many of the smaller pracices to join. My wife and I looked at returning to Fargo, but without the ability to open up a private practice, it would be diffiuclt to work with Sanford due to their lower wage scale, and "fiscal incentives" to be efficient (i.e,,,charge your patient's more). So like Walmart,,,they go into a town, lower prices, throw a whole bunch of money around, and when all the competition is run out of town, they raise prices and run their employees into the ground.
  8. Keeping Hakstol will mean we will have a successful program with regards to in-conference play. We will most likely be rated very highly in the polls, and receive a fair ranking and placement in the NCAA tournament. Unfortunately, it also means we may never win the big game. Over the past 9 years, when it comes to the big game, our guys are overwhelmingly more talented than our opponent, we have more guys heading in the NHL than our opponent, and on paper we should be victorious, but we are not and we don't. Hak seems to lack the ability to rally the troops so to speak to play inspired, to play like they deserve to be there, and play like the better team that are. Mediocrity may be too harsh to describe a coach that year and year out gets us to the NCAA, but as a fan, I expect our guys to play better, and want more than just an appearance at the tournament.
  9. True...so we need to bring in someone who can help recruit and help Hak coach....or better yet...why don't' we just bring back Blais?
  10. So how long are we going to stay with this Hak experiment? Seriously, this was our last chance for a while as the talent isn't going to be there next year, and he's relied on great talent over the past 8 years. I know I'm frustrated, but year in and year out he gets outcoached. The other coaches make the between period adjustments, and Hak just looked pale-faced at the end.
  11. Wow...epic fail. 50 minutes of defensive hockey....we got out coached at the end, BUT McMillian cost us the game
  12. We're certaily playing like a team that's protecting a lead...whcih isn't a bad thing, but we can't keep playing defense the rest of the game.
  13. This pace of the game is getting me nervous...need some offensive zone time.
  14. Maybe hak was pullin a rope-a-dope w/ waiting to change up the lines
  15. They've been held to minimal opportunities on the PP
  16. Does the Sioux have any come from behind wins this year?
  17. Wow...hopefully we can salvage the game..but looks like another one and done
  18. So far the WCHA is laying an egg. We always use the excuse hot goalie.....how about why does UND forget to show up come playoff time?
  19. Hope the boys came ready this year!....The star tribune comments are asking for Lucia's head...ouch
