I don't know for sure if this is the video you saw. A video about the Sioux name is played early in the game. This particular video has been played since the REA opened. Talks about Sioux warriors being the bravest, etc. States we, UND, respects the name and asks the fans to do so also. It's played at the Alerus as well.

Do they replay penaltys on televison? Normally we don't see them on the big screen at the arena.

The student section is across the ice from 101 and 116 by the penalty box in sections 108 and 109. 101 and 116 are by the team benches.

redwing77 and mikejm, people like you amaze me. I watch the game and see the great stuff happening but I can't come back with great critiques and replays like you two. PCM does very well but hey, he's PCM. Good job. But, mikejm, from 113, it looked like a slash to me. But as noted in my first post, after getting home, I remembered it happening in the begining of the 2nd period. Dam#, it's a &itch getting old.

Just got back from the game. Man, was that some FUN. It was great seeing the young guys going to the net and making those goals!! I'm too lazy to go back to the second period in this thread so please be nice! Sparky got slashed in the begining of the second period, no penalty. He went off the ice and never came back. Did the media say anything about his injury, how he's doing, anything?

Didn't one of those highly esteemed lawyers quoted in the Herald say that belonging to the NC$$ is voluntary? Therefore, according to him, Free Speech is not a point of law that can be used in a lawsuit against them?!

I do like their statement re the use of Fighting before the team name and the listing of all the non-hositle and abusive teams that use it. I just thought of this. If mentioned before, sorry. Instead of filing for exemption from the policy, why aren't the institutions on the list of shame fighting to have the the policy itself removed from the rule book?

Two things the Illini have that we don't, 1) There are no surviving Illini. So, by allowing San Diego to keep the nickname Aztecs because 'they are extinct', the NC$$ has to grant the appeal. (My logic.) 2) The Fighting Illini name is well documented as referring to the students and alumni of UIUC who served in the military, not to the Indian tribe. (Again, my logic.) And I to have to ALSO state, IT'S ABOUT FRIGGING TIME!!
