Is it just me or does it seem like Shattuck's entire prep team will be gone next year? Kaple, Dowzak, Chorney, Anderson, Fredricks, Okposo, Toews, Gergen, Pierson, Esposito, Genoway, Deeth, Bossort, and Eberwein. I'm not sure about the rest but maybe somebody knows if these people are staying or leaving: Stuart, Brock, Brossman, Ruegsegger, Mosey, and Harrison. Only 6 returning guys, although i suppose they will just reload with talent for next year.

I guess i'm not sure about Murray and Zajac because i never heard anything come out like that so i was just wondering if you had any inside information about them not being able to play or if its just a hunch you have?

Rumor has it that Tony Bina-head coach of Bismarck high school resigned and is going to take the central job....anyone know if this is true???

Did anybody hear how Tysen's visit went? I hope he fell in love with the school/arena when he saw it.

Do you mean Cory Johnson?? He is the only Johnson I have heard of coming out of Moorhead hockey. Chad Johnson is a wide receiver for the bengals. But what do I know maybe there really is a chad johnson for moorhead?

Well it wasn't his only collegiate goal...as he scored 5 in his junior season. He also definetely scored in the 2000 national championship against BC!

I am sure this has been posted but I don't know....whatever happened to Luke Beaverson? could somebody please give me the details I don't remember hearing about him since he had committed to us whenever that was. Please give me details.

Adding to that yes i do believe that the better skiled athletes generally end up as forwards because usually the skilled ones(in my view) are the quick ones who can stickhandle...although there are exceptions(brian lee).

I think it is impossible to say that a Matt Greene is better then a Travis Zajac. They both do things that greatly help the team. Matt Greene is the big hitter and rarely gives up a goal while hes on the ice. Zajac, while good defensively, does the scoring and sets up plays. When you ask if the better skilled athletes are forwards, i think it is what you call "skill" that determines that. If skill for you is a fast guy who can stickhandle like crazy, than I would have to say that a forward is more skilled. But if skilled is being strong on your skates and physically imposing on the other team, i would have to say that a defenseman is more skilled. I don't think there is any way you could compare a good forward to a good defenseman as they are both expected to have different attributes.

I am not from fergus falls but i do know some info on Dowzak. He is 6'5(same height as Smaby) and very well built. He is quite a physical defenseman but is also a pretty good skater. Rumor has it that he would love nothing more then to wear a goofer uniform for his college days. I'm sure the sioux would love to get their hands on this kid. They will most likely recruit hard for him but it remains to be seen if it will pay off.

just found out that TND won 4-2 against new jersey so they are in the last four. Marto had 2 goals. Didnt even think they would do good so thats a bonus. Good luck boys.

No need to try murray at center...Toews is from what i hear a very solid centerman. I suspect that will be one of the most exciting lines in the country if it is porter and murray with toews as i'm sure there wouldnt be a faster line out there.

Anyone talking about how moreland hasnt played lately for the jets is right...he hasnt been but theres a good reason for that. He is the starting goalie for the Bismarck Bobcats. Haha sorry if somebody already said that but i just had to because it was bugging me.

It's exciting to think of the talent the team will have next year coming in We could have the top 2 lines in the country in my opinion with toews and all the guys from the BCHL coming in.

The senior class is Brandt, Jones, Fuher, Schneider, Canady, Fylling, Genoway, McMahon, and Massen.

Come to think of it, i didn't see much of the prpich, fylling, and foyt line tonight. Looks like they are starting to try and stick to their top 3 lines. The Zajac line was clearly the best on the ice tonight...they bring back memories of "the line" in 2001. Hopefully the final result is different this year though.

I dont know where this kid came from last year, the first 2 seasons he had a combined total of 3 points! Hell, he had 3 points in last nights win, for a total of 76 points in his last two seasons. It guys like this that i love watching, play hard game in and game out, never the most skilled player or most talked about but they always get the job done! Keep it up Colby. This next comment is off topic, but does anyone else feel like spirko is a kevin spiewak type player, very small, quick and skilled, the only difference is i think spirko is a better finisher.

Great stats Dagies, very good insight. But as for me the only stat i care about tonight is the two big numbers on the scoreboard. Let's hope tonight its BU-0 UND-4. That would be great. And those goals would come from zajac, spirko, massen, spirko. I'm looking for the Zajac, stafford, spirko line to play phenomenal tonight.

There is a player on Shattuck's U-16 team named Brian Volpei. He currently has 191 points in 64 games. I know this is U-16 but those point numbers sound like he is a great player as he is leading his team by over 50 points. Anybody know of his talent breakdown or seen him play? Also i believe the Shattuck-North Dakota games are down on shattuck campus this weekend.

I like UND's chances of winning at least their regional...even if they were without Murray and Prpich. They played a good game against Minny and I'm excited to see what will happen in the coming days! P.S. Fuher's shot against DU was quite a snipe.
